The term 'loungefooty' has only been taken on in the last twenty years, to classify a part of footballing history which has been in existence before football as a sport was even invented.
loungefooty came from the fact that it was commonly played in the lounge - a confined space where a great amount of skill is needed to avoid injury and damage.
loungefooty has developed as a sport which is basically the ability to play football anywhere and everywhere! With a varying number of players, one ball, and no actual 'football pitch', it is down to the players imagination how the game then develops.
loungefooty is a game of the gods, a sport built of legends and dreams, wheather it is recreating great footballing moments, or taking the sport to new extremes. In recent years the game has expanded outside the confinement of four walls and taken on the great outdoors, with ever adventerous settings being sought out.
