| What would a museum of the sort I envision cost? | ||||||||||||||||||
| The Louisiana Czech Museum is already a non-profit 501(c)3 Louisiana Corporation with a duly elected board of directors |
||||||||||||||||||
| This is a very preliminary guess and projection of what I envision | ||||||||||||||||||
| Land for museum: $100,000 Architect: 20,000 Basic structure 100,000 Facade Foam 20,000 Technology 20,000 Furnishings 20,000 Exhibits materials 20,000 Curatorial tools 10,000 Total: $310,000 |
||||||||||||||||||
| I will not hazard a guess as to obtaining the Welcek and Hajek Farms. | ||||||||||||||||||
| I propose we put together an endowment of no less than $1,000,000 -- the more the better to continue to operate the museum. | ||||||||||||||||||
| How will we raise this money? Through donations, bequest, grants, awards, memberships and a dozen other ways. There is little limit to the types of fundraising we can do. If we set a target date to begin construction we will be given the impetus to get the ball rolling. |
