"Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love
unless he's owned a dog. He can show you more honest
affection with the flick of his tail than a man can
gather through a lifetime of handshakes."

Dakota-Adopted
Dakota is a beautiful little young Pomeranian fluff ball who has come from a neglected background but he wants to find a home where he can become a LAP DOG. He loves other dogs, cats, people and is fine with children. He needs someone who can help him with the housetraining/potty routine because he really strives to be the best little dog he can be.
All of our pets are fostered in homes in and around the Charlottesville, Va area. Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Chico aka Mr. Peanut - Pending
Chico (aka Mr. Peanut) is a tiny little bundle of love who is barely 5 pounds, and has just turned 9 months old. He is a quiet, loving Chihuahua who loves nothing more than to snuggle with the other dogs in his foster home and his foster mommy.

Mr Peanut gets along well with cats and with other dogs of all sizes, in spite of being the smallest dog on the block! He also gets along wonderfully with children, allowing them to carry him around like a stuffed toy with no fuss.

We are currently working on his house training, but he seems to do fine in his crate during the day. Although he is a tiny little man, he has a lot of love to give. He would do better in a home with at least one other dog, since he loves to curl up with his foster sister, Nadia, when they are home alone during the day.

Barney
Barney and Fred are cute Poodles/Bichon mixes who were turned into a local shelter because their elderly owner could no longer care for them. Their fur was matted and they had to be shaved, as you can see in the picture. However, they look much better now after several baths and quality food. Fred was lucky enough to have found his forever home already.

Barney is an easy going dog and has had some housetraining and crate training. He would make a great addition to your family.

Mia
Mia is a terrier mix who is about 2 year old and weighs 11-12 pounds. She had fleas and chewed at herself, as you can see from this picture that was taken right after being rescued. However, her fur is already starting to grow back after some good food and grooming. Just imagine what a difference you will make in this dog's life...as well as the love you will receive from her. Mia would do well in a quieter household so she can blossom. She is starting to respond to quiet, loving treatment. She gets along well with other dogs. One of her favorite spots is on one of the kitchen chairs, and her energy level is more of a couch potato than a runner.

Brady
Brady is a 5 month old Rottweiler mix. He's a typical rottie pup, very outgoing and friendly, very playful. Brady can be protective of his food, but he eats with other dogs without difficulty. Fenced yard required. Brady will use a crate, but at this age I can't say that he's housetrained. He loves playing with other dogs. You can contact Brady's foster home at [email protected]
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Scooter-Pending
Scooter is a cute little Poodle mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. He is a little shy at first until he gets to know you. He gets along well with the other dogs in his rescuer's home.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Roxie-Pending
Hello. My name is Roxie. I am a 2-3 year old, 25-30lb, spayed Spaniel mix. I am a lot fun and a very loving dog. I am full of energy and life and am loking for a nice family who will love me unconditionally as I will love them. I love to play and snuggle with my family. I have a foster dog sister who I love playing with . We play tug-of-war and run around. We also like to settle down and sleep together. I would love for my forever home to have a dog I can play with . But I also would be very happy as an only dog. I love attention but I can also play by myself. I love cats, but I like to chase them sometimes. I do not want to hurt them, I just want to play. So if there is a cat in the house, the cat should be able to stand up to me. I love children, but older children are best for me because of my energy. I require a fenced in yard because I love to run. I am very quick and need a place that is safe for me to play in. I am completely potty-trained, know sit and down and love to go for walks. I hope you will give me a chance. I will be the most loving dog in your life that you will ever find!
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Robie
Robie is a neutered 4 yr.old Terrier/Poodle mix who weighs approx. 30-35 lbs. He loves to be with his people and gets along well with six other dogs in his foster home. He doesn't chew, is housebroken, not a barker and a quick and smart learner. Robie is a funny looking character and he is hoping that despite a huge underbite his person will choose him for his great personality and not his looks. Robie is an easy dog to take care of and would do best in a calmer household with older children He is current on shots and heartworm negative.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.

Elle
Elle is a very sweet and friendly Beagle mix and would make a great playmate for kids, however she loves climbing fences. She is fairly young, probably no more than 2yrs old and is probably around 30-35 lbs.
Adoption fee is $175 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
