Process

   (1) Go to the RESOURCES page and choose an event to investigate.


   (2) Navigate through the website for the event you have chosen.


   (3) Gather information on the event you have chosen and record that information using the Graphic Organizer provided for you.


   (4) Select the type of media you would like to use to report the event, and complete your report using the guidelines below:

      (a)
newspaper article: write about the event as a reporter for a newspaper of your choice. Illustrate your report using drawings or photographs you create yourself or you obtain from another resource.

      (b)
radio news broadcast: write about the event as a radio newscaster would and record your report on audiotape. Include any sound effects that may enhance your broadcast and make your event come alive for your listeners.

      (c)
television news broadcast: write about the event as a television newscaster would and record your report on videotape. Include any visual or audio effects which may enhance your broadcast and make your event come alive for your viewers.

   (5) Present your report to the class.
