Links

This is my links page, with links (duh) to sites that interest me; they're pretty eclectic. They're all text links - most of these places have banners, but a big page of them takes a while to load and this is just easier.

Here are the webrings that I am a part of.

The official Buffy website, with detailed synopses, postcards, a posting board, etc. Definitely recommended for 'Buffy' fans.
The Complete Buffy Episode Guide. One of the best 'Buffy' sites on the web - great synopses, music, monster count. Great.
The Sanctuary; not actually the above site's sister site for the above show's sister show, but it's got a lot of the same stuff only for 'Angel The Series', and also fanfiction. Sonja Marie's Buffy The Vampire Slayer Links is the best place for 'Buffy' links; there are literally thousands, so go if you have the slightest interest in 'Buffy' and 'Angel'.

For a quick pick-me-up and a little pleasure in a dull day, try Candy Of The Day, which aims to spread happiness throughout cyberspace.

For the complete opposite, head to The Spark for cynicism and some great tests to work out bitchiness, sluttishness, day of death and so on.

If you like these tests, try Emode for a huge list of different ones. A pretty good way to while away the hours.

For a list of sites which help you to while away the hours, go to Bored.com which works diligently to find such sites as the famed dancing hamsters, kareoke sites and magic tricks.

A lot of the 'essays' on this site started out as diary entries at The Open Diary, where about 92,000 people post their diaries up for public scrutiny. A lot of them are pretty depressing, but some of them are really good; I recommend Ollie Joe and Blue Ice. (I have to because they're friends of mine.)

I was going to use a WYSIWYG editor (lit: cop out) to design this site, but couldn't get it to work. I turned to Lissa of Lissa Explains It All fame and used her excellent site of HTML help for kids, and you're looking at the result. And the girl is about thirteen. Wow.

One of my favourite sites is Heartless Bitches International, who know that 'bitch' stands for Back In Total Control, Honey! This site is (obviously) fairly militant feminist, but it's mainly about women living their lives their way. This is what I aspire to.

My friend Matthew's homepage is really good, especially since he jazzed it up a bit and it's not just computer stuff. He has lots of pictures of his very cute younger brother.

I was surprised to get an email the other day offering to swap links with me. So I toddled off to the site, Ebol-O-Matic and it was very good. I dutifully emailed the good Lady Ebola back, and you should go to her site. Now. Incidentally, I am 95.3% Iowa pure.

There's this very imaginative site called Who Would You Kill involving creating elaborate death scenes for your most hated characters on your favourite TV shows. More entertaining than the shows themselves.
