News 21 14 May 2003.
An interesting month for both of us.
We departed Langkawi by air to Singapore and then after an enforced night stop onto Hong Kong. Our first visit in almost exactly four years. We arrived on April 9. We stayed on board a sailing boat called Touch of class and helped our friends to get the boat ready to sail it to the Philippines. We also managed to catch up with many old friends. We finally departed on Touch of class on Monday 21 April. We had a fast ride to the Philippines arriving on Thursday 24. We stayed a few days at Maya Maya yacht club and sorted a few problems with the boat out. We then sailed onto Puerto Galera which was the end of our passage on that boat, at least for the time being.
We then joined our friends on a motor boat called Tiger Balm a Nordhaven 46. This was to be our first long journey on a motor boat. We quite literally back tracked all the way to Hong Kong. arriving back here on Saturday 10 May. Most of the journey was easy and very enjoyable. The last twenty four hours back into Hong Kong was a bit rough, but not as bad as forcast.
We are now staying in Hong Kong for a few days before returning to Langkawi. As yet we have not decided exactly how we will get back there. Most likely by air, but we are looking at some other possibilities.
All for this time Phil and Ines Hong Kong.
