REWORK AND REPAIR
Objective:
To learn and perform "hands on" SMT rework on PCBs. There is an emphasis
on proven procedures, using "Best Manufacturing Practices".
Who Should Attend:
Technicians, operators, and manufacturing personnel responsible for
the rework of Printed Assemblies using Surface Mount devices.

The course is a stage by stage progression, starting with an introduction
to SMT soldering. Based on the requirements of IPC-A-610 and IPC 7711.
Having mastered the basic practical skills required for this process,
course members are introduced to advanced soldering and desoldering techniques.
Once a reasonable competency has been obtained a “show and tell” using
company boards is encouraged.
