Instructor

The senior instructor, Terry Clitheroe, has many years experience in soldering training and is registered with the IPC as a Master Instuctor in the ANSI/J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711 & 7721.

He was previously a RAAF Instructor at the RAAF School of Radio and responsible for training and course development in High Reliability Hand Soldering and Repair Techniques including SMT. He was also responsible for introducing ESD courses into the RAAF.

During his career Terry has held MIL-STD-2000 Cat B/C instructor status and has trained defence personnel and civilian contractors throughout Australasia. Upon his resignation from the RAAF in 1995 Terry was awarded the Defence Service Medal with First Clasp and now offers training programs to Industry as well as the Military.

He is a member of the SMCBA Executive Committee and represented the SMCBA on the former TE6 Standards Australia Printed Circuit Committee. He has been responsible for conducting IPC Instructor Courses, IPC Operator Training Courses as well as Rework and Repair training programs throughout ANZ and Malaysia.

Just recently Terry has been carrying out research into Lead Free Hand Soldering and Repair and is able to add this to package to any of his courses.
