ELECTRONICS ASSEMBLY
MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY

Objective:

To learn electronics assembly manufacturing principles. This includes the requirements for setting up the various machines so that reliable production and troubleshooting techniques may be carried out.

Who Should Attend:

Technicians, operators, and manufacturing personnel responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in electronic manufacturing, who wish to learn “Best Manufacturing Practices”.

Benefits:

  • Decrease defects using “Best Manufacturing Practices.”
  • Improve process control methodology
  • Improve and prolong equipment life.
  • Select equipment configurations and materials to match particular applications

Course Content:

  • Flux, Solder and Solvents
  • Paste dispensing
  • Component Placement
  • Solder Reflow
  • Wavesoldering
  • Inspection vs Process Control

The course is conducted over a period of 8 hours. It is generic and as such deals with the theory and requirements of equipment and materials so that minimum time is required for adaptation to specific needs. The diagnostics phases . The latest research into alternative fluxes and solders is covered. Time and facilities permitting, experiments will be carried out utilising theory and marrying it with practical application. It is intended that by the end of the course the groundwork covered will be sufficient so that by documentation and practical application any task will be within the realms of the operator.
