| Robyn Treyvaud Dip. Teaching. Bachelor of Education When I graduated in 1974 I spent 5 years working in inner- city government schools, before I had a break to have my 2 children, Thomas and Amy.. Until 1998, I worked in government schools, as an upper primary classroom teacher, as well as being responsible for Assessment and Reporting, as well as being involved in curriculum development. It was in this role that I began to use computers, with staff and students. I initiated the use of computerised reports for staff and our research skills program integrated the use of ICT, initially for just publishing purposes, and later for information gathering. This has been developed further into the ?ed-search cycle?, which is an 8 step research cycle, that integrates ICT into each stage of the process. I am now the Curriculum Co-ordinator at the Junior School of Wesley College, Prahran Campus as well as being responsible for Learning Technologies, which involves teaching ICT and integrating the use of the notebook computers into the curriculum across Year 5 to Year 7. All our students have laptops from Year 5, 10 year olds, through to Year 12. I met the members of this Learning Community at the WCCE 2001. As well as initiating some exciting global projects with students from the US and Australia, one of my lasting memories from Copenhagen was the photographic exhibition by Yann Arthus-Bretrand. Here is the link and my favourite photo of the rugs at a Moroccan market. http://www.yannarthusbertrand.com/us/photogra/index.htm |
