| Chapter 8 �w-w-what?� Nick asked, turning around looking at AJ for the first time in weeks. �I�m in here too. I�ve been drinking non-stop fro the past 3 weeks. I was found in the ditch at the side of the road. The guys told me I should seek help, so I chose here, so we could help each other. AJ said, looking at the floor. A smile crept across Nick's face, and he walked back over to the sofa to sit down. �Geez, if we leave it to those guys then the entire world could get committed.� AJ and Nick laughed at the comment. AJ sat in silence for a moment, taking in and enjoying Nick�s smile and laughter. He hadn�t heard it or seen it in so long. He just realized how much he missed it. �So, we�re stuck in here together huh?� Nick asked. �Yep.� AJ replied. Nick looked up at the clock and groaned. �It�s time for group therapy. Lets see who�s group you are in.� ************************************************ AJ sat in the circle and looked at the people around him. They had found that he was in the same group as Nick. So here they are. AJ looked at Nick and his smile faded. Nick was once again curled up in his chair, sadness written all over his face as he sat there and stared at the floor. �Alright people. We have a new member of group today. How about we go around the room and say our names and why we are here.� Dr. Maloney said. AJ sat and listed, but once it got to Nick, Nick was silent. Not even moving. �Hello, dummy. It�s your turn.� Todd said. Nick continued to sit there. �Oh I guess he�s just to damn retarded to answer the simplest question. � Todd went on. Yet again, Nick did nothing. �Maybe it would have been better if you had just killed yourself.� �That�s Enough!� AJ shouted, standing up. � Don�t you ever, EVER, talk to my friend like that again. EVER! Do you hear me?� AJ shouted at Todd, yelling right in his face. �I said, do you hear me!� �Y-yes>� Todd said quietly. AJ sat down next to Nick again, Nick looked up at him, a smile on his face.
