To understand that Jesus is
also the Father, you must recognise that Jesus was both God and man,
He was of a divine nature. Jesus was manifested as God in the flesh
reconciling the world to himself (John 1:1, 14 and 2 Corinthians
5:19).
The bible declares that God
is our father both in creation and through the new birth experience
and that there is only one Father (Malachi 2:10, Hebrews 10:9 and
Ephesians 4:6).
If Jesus is then God, then
he is also the Father. In Isaiah 9:6 the prophecy of Jesus’ birth
declares him as “…everlasting father…” and in John 10:30 Jesus
declares that he is one with the father.
We must also understand that
Jesus’ name was that of the Father (John 5:43 and Hebrews 1:4).
