William Tenney, Highand, Michigan. Enlisted in Company F., 2nd Michigan Cavalry September 20, 1861 at Grand Rapids, Michigan for three years service at age 24. Mustered October 2, 1861. re-enlisted at Mossy Creek, Tennessee on January 5, 1864. Took Veteran furlough and mustered in on March 29, 1864 and was promoted to 1st Sergeant. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on October 22, 1864. He commanded Company F from April 1, 1865 until August 1, 1865. Mustered out and Honorably discharged on August 17, 1865 at Macon, Georgia. |
