Lookin'Up Laikas
Lookin' Up Laikas recently imported three West Siberian Laika pups from Russia.  On March 6, 2008, these pups, one male and two females, arrived at the Memphis International Airport on a flight from Moscow.  A trusted friend of Vladimir Beregovoy searched these pups out for us and assured us that they are of superb quality.  The male and one female are littermates and all three pups were born in December 2007.

We have named  the male "Perm" and his littermate we have given a tentative name of "Leesa".  They are out of Laikas from Moscow suburbs.  Their parents passed field trials on wild boar and squirrel and their grandparents passed trials on squirrel, badger, denned bear and marten.

The other female named "Mansi" is from Ryazan.  Her grandmother and grandfather were brought from Kamchatka Peninsula and came out of dogs of professional hunters on bear, moose, squirrel and duck.  We are hopeful that a future breeding of Perm and Mansi will offer new bloodlines for breeders in the USA.

The pups are pictured below, with Perm in the center, Mansi to the left and Leesa on the right.
