The Great Orion Nebula, with a composite grey image.

All the following images are Time related images. ie. 1963 and 1993 or 1902 and 2000.. .

Very poor quality wide angle amateur photographs of the Orion star field. As the field of view is over 15 degrees, this illustrates the enormous degree of change in the 50 years between images. The 3-D information is not totally lost. The Great Orion nebula is the blob along the right edge, near centre, To give an indication of the field size, the bright star to the left edge bottom is Bellatrix. To the Top right is Rigel.
