Jake Long starts on new CD - A New Approch

A new album by Jake Long is currently being written. "This [album] is going to be a lot different than 'Stunned Shadow'." says Jake. With the excellent songs of "Why Two Kay", "Not Going Back" and "End" from the "Stunned Shadow" album, it'll be a thrill to see what Jake comes up with next. "I'm very proud of the album [Stunned Shadow], but I want to make this next one perfect. Most of the songs on "Stunned Shadow" were actually written back in the early to mid 1990's. This album is going to be more modern, it'll have drums, and it's going to kock your socks off!!

I guess the best way to describe what we are looking for in this new album is sort of a Creed meets Staind mix along with a little bit of Blues/Classic Rock. It'll be very interesting putting this together.

The down side of this new album and wanting it to surpass the success of "Stunned Shadow" is that it'll probably take a lot longer to create. We have only 2 or 3 songs for the new album right now. I'm actually thinking about putting some songs on the new album that we had during the "Stunned Shadow" sessions, but decided to leave off the CD when it came to recording them. We are also thinking about taking some of my older stuff that I wrote a while back and re-working the strucuture of the songs. It should be a very interesting and exciting process. I am hoping to get a lot of my writing done over the holidays this year. I'll be heading back up to Eleva. That's where I am most comfortable writing." Jake will be keeping us up to date on the progression of the album. Check back often for more updates!
