| Forest were first founded in Nothumberland, where they were seated from very ancient times. Some say well before the Norman Conquest and the arrival of Duke William of Hastings in 1066A. Some of the first settlers were James Forest who settled in Virginia in 1654, George settled in 1608 in Virginia, 12 years before the Mayflower. Toby Forest settled in New England in 1685, Henry, James, Jasper and Walter settled in 1685. Forest's were also first founded in Savoie where the noble family were seated with land and manors. Some of the first settlers were Christian and Daniel Forest in 1754 in Philadelphia, another Daniel Forest settled in Virginia in 1651, George Forest settled in 1607 in Virginia, as well as James Forest did. |

| Hagan's were first found in countries of Tyrone. In Ulster they were known as the Lords of Tullaghoge and traditionally claimed direct descendance from Fergus, son of the Great King Niall of the nine hostages, who were the Princess of Tyrone.
