Raindrops
Standing tall and bold in the lotus-land,
"I am what I am" , the red lotus flower cries,
The sun, the rain she weathers through,
Trusting nature to be God's work.
The red lotus flower bespeaks a heart so kind,
Aloof she stands in luxurious languor,
But doubt not her inner strength,
Her subtle intellect guided by God's hand.
Today the rain came at dawn in sudden spree
Lightly as the raindrops fall from the skies,
From afar she hears the thunder roar
Come what may she will not succumb.
In silence I watch the lotus flower in awe,
Her scent lightly lingers in the air,
In darkness my presence to her unknown,
I care that her peace dissipitate not by me.
