Members of Company L-1 are involved in many aspects of the Corps, including Parson's Mounted Cavalry, Ross Volunteers, Rudder's Rangers, O.R. Simpson Honor Society, Color Guard, Society of American Military Engineers, and several Intramural Sports. We also have members on the Commandants' Honor Roll and members of the Corps baseball team.
Several of our members are also involved in staffs throughout the Corps. For the 2002-2003 school year, L-1 members hold the following positions:
Corps Staff Supply/IG Sergeant
2nd Brigade Chaplain
2nd Brigade Recruiting Sergeant
2nd Battalion Scholastics Officer
Aside from activities in the Corps, we have members involved in American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Texas A&M Ducks Unlimited, Texas A&M Trap & Skeet Club, Texas A&M Off-Road Club, and many others..
Company L-1 is known throughout the Corps as having the most members of Parson's Mounted Cavalry. For the 2002-2003 school year, we have 6 seniors, 6 juniors, and sophomores in the Cav, including the Commanding Officer, the Executive Officer, the First Sergeant, the Scout from last year, the Muleskinner, the Guidon Bearer, and 2nd Platoon Officer. Five Cannon Crew members are from L-1.
