1) Friendly, caring people.
The members at Lone Oak are no doubt familiar faces. They are your neighbors, your children's coaches, and your co-workers. Our members are all concerned with raising their families in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, as well as being the best they can be for the Lord. You can expect to be treated like part of our family when you visit our assembly. We will do what we can to make you feel comfortable and also to challenge your faith to greater heights!
2) Bible-based worship.
It is the belief of the Lone Oak Church of Christ that God's Word, the Bible, is all we need to instruct us in how God desires to be worshipped (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We are a people who diligently seek to obey the simple pattern given in the Word of God. Every Sunday there will be: a) a cappella (voice-only) singing (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19); b) partaking of the Lord's Supper by members of the body of Christ (Luke 22:19-20, Acts 20:7); c) an offering collected to further the work of the church (1 Corinthians 16:2); d) reading and study from the Word of God (2 Timothy 2:15), and 3) prayers offered to God (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
3) An opportunity to grow.
We at the Lone Oak Church of Christ seek to always examine our lives for areas that need strength. We realize that all of us sin and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Also, we acknowledge that God is willing to forgive us if we are willing to seek that forgiveness (1 John 1:9). We hope that our services stir your mind to thought (2 Peter 3:1) concerning the state of your soul and the strength given for you (Romans 5:6).
