http://www.poets.org
This page has some great links to pages about national poetry month (which is august) and offers a great search engine to search for poetry and/or poets. It has a link to the national "star-studded" aunnual gala, and also gives information about local poetry events. You can also find information about the newest poetry books available.

This page is very brief, but in my experience, sometimes the best way to search for poetry when you have no idea what you are looking for is to go to a site like this. It has all the most famous poems that anyone who wants to know poetry should be familiar with.
http://www.poems.com/
Poetry Daily is a site that updates daily with new poems for their featured "poem of the day". They also have "featured poet" and "featured journal" that you can learn
more about.
http://www.poetrymagazine.org/
This is the site to the national poetry magazine, created in 1912 by Harriet Monroe. It offers not only a featured poet and featured prose, but also a featured letter to the editor to check out. You can visit the magazine link to look at past issues of the magazine, look at the current
copy and also see next month's edition. This page includes reviews on poetry books as well.
