Rasmus (Hans Rasmussen) Nelsen & Caroline (Karen) Andersen
and their descendants
Rasmus Nelsen (who also went by Hans Rasmussen) and Caroline (or Karen) Andersen are believed to be from Langland, Denmark.
Date of birth and date of death are unknown.
They had four children who each immigrated to the United States:
- Rasmina Rasmussen was born in 1851 in Denmark. She
married Rasmus Hansen. They lived
in South Dakota, Canada and North Dakota.
They had 7 children.
- Caroline Hedvig Rasmussen was born September 9, 1860 in
Langland, Denmark. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1883 to Wisconsin.
She married Andrew Christopherson on October
3, 1884 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In 1889 they moved to South Dakota
where they lived the rest
of their lives. They had 12 children.
- Charles Robertson lived in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1938.
- Nels Rasmussen may have lived in the Clintonville,
Wisconsin area. He and his wife had 6 sons (one was named James)
and 2 daughters.
