Prologue
A long forgotten passage in the records of the heavens, this story began approximately four hundred
millennium before the omnipotence you refer to as God would send his messenger into the worlds below, to teach man of his so-stated 'sacred
philosophy'.
God created the heavens, his kingdom of gold, and immortal entities that have come to be known as angels to worship at his feet. After Lucifer's revolt against God's will, he created a new class of angels to protect the holy gates: the Battle-Class angels, which he taught the most destructive forms of majick and hand-to-hand combat skills.
The angel which stood at the highest rank among these new angels was a solemn warrior who rarely spoke outside of
necessity. Upon his entrance into the highest rank of his class, he was allowed to choose a name for himself, as none of the angels had been granted the
privilege of being named upon their creation; I suppose we weren't that important to him.
He dwelled for days on what name by which he would be referred to for the rest of eternity. Eventually, a name came to him, a strange name of whose meaning would be defined by a language that wouldn't exist for millennia to come. In all of God's infinite knowledge he knew the meaning, as he would be the author of the idea born in the minds of those who would speak the language. God frowned upon his selection, and never treated him the same from that point onward. He was no longer in his creator's favor. This, of course, confused him, as he himself did not know the meaning of the name.
It was as if a fate-power even beyond the great creator's comprehension had allowed him a glimpse into the non-understandable networking of all time and event. His name was Oni Shin; it's meaning: True Devil.
