Many millennia have passed and Oni Shin's eternal, vigorous training has made him tremendously powerful. His devotion to training and his will to expand his knowledge
has made him the most powerful angel in the ranks of heaven. The other angels talk of him often, but rarely in his favor. They spread rumors of his intention to betray God,
perhaps because of jealousy, envy, perhaps in fear; he didn't know. I suppose it's true, where there is power, there will spawn the will to
wield it and the lesser will envy those who do.
A day came when there was an uneasy tension in the air, the angels under his command seemed restless. He had seen many things by this time, and his combat experience tells him that something is wrong.
Several hours later, an angel approaches him.
"Hello, Oni Shin," he says, "It is now time for us to take our place in the realm of heaven, by force if necessary. Will you to join our efforts?"
Oni Shin's spirits dropped to the floor and his heart skipped a beat. He couldn't believe what the angel was implying.
After a moment of thought, he spoke.
"Elaborate, please."
The angel looked directly at him.
"We have been treated as if we are of no importance, we are slung thoughtlessly onto battlefield
after battlefield and we receive no praise whatsoever, for our victory and not a tear in mourning, for our loss. The lesser of us have not even a name to be summoned by, as if the Lord of Lords has not even the will to speak to us.
We are going to take our place in the histories of heaven, we will no longer be devoid of the glory of his records! We are going to carve our names in His holy books. Join us and our effort to do for ourselves what He has not done."
Oni Shin's curt reply is, "I will not. I cannot."
"Then may you remain amongst the used and the worthless."
The angel screams a Holy battle cry and suddenly he is surrounded by angels and many other angels are running about.
"What is this?" he asks.
"We are taking over," a lesser angel says.
"Are you insane? God will not allow this madness."
"God is weak; else he would have no need of us. We have exceeded his power."
Suddenly, he hears a loud explosion, then several more. They were attacking Heaven itself.
He tried to move away from the group, to find those who were destroying several structures and to stop them.
The angels held him; nearly twenty high-rank angels it took to hold him. They were betraying both him and their creator, rendering themselves protestants against the very purpose they were created into.
Silence fell across the realms of heaven, and Oni Shin began to feel weak. Angels began to fall to their knees, unconscious.
"A spell?" he muttered, just before his consciousness left him.
He awoke before the throne of God, along with those responsible for the uprising.
God spoke, a loud, thunderous voice emanating from every direction and echoing to the edges of Heaven.
"Through your transgression, you have betrayed me and the Kingdom of Heaven as a whole. You will be banished to the realms of Earth, your rights as angels of Heaven are hereby revoked. You may not return."
As a twisted smile formed on an angel's face, he came to a jolting realization.
The rumors of his intent to betray god that had been spread before had been calculated to this moment; he was part of their punishment.
