Straumhella ( or Hella or Rystraumen ) some 30 kilometres from Tromso ( marked with yellow circle into map ) is excellent picnic place for those who like fishing. And want to be certain to catch fish. You are certainly not alone. Some one hundred other fishers arrived about 19.00 when water level starts to rise. With high tide come saithe fish and cods to narrow Rystraumen. Only important thing in casting is that you can send your lure as far as possible, colour or shape doesn't matter. Just strenghten and  renew knots from time to time.

Houses from "old Tromso" has been moved here and overnight accommodation is possible. Cafeteria also.
Very close also 4500-year old rock carvings depicting ancient hunters and fishermen.
Close here you can continue by ferry to Vikran and Storsteines.
Also from Sommaroy further away by ferry to Botnham in Senja island.
Generally try fishing in evening. Choose narrow places where tide water rises water level.
Also close to big bridges easy to get fish. Cheap lures you can buy anywhere.
