 Stop/Start             Locomotive

This is a new concept, designed by LocoTronics and its features
are completely unique.

A Power electronics automatic SOFT stop/start control system.
This electronic module works with the Colour Light Signal controller module, if either the signalman control is set to red, or the
block is occupied, then this module is activated.
As the train approached the Red signal a train detector ( IR or Flash Frequency ) detects the train, then triggers the soft stop electronics.
The train will slow to a gentle stop.  The locomotive braking rate,
and travel distance is programmable within the module.
Should the signal be green, then the locomotive will proceed normally
at a speed that is adjustable within this module.

An additional option is incorporated, whereby the locomotive
can be stopped ( instant ) at a precise stop point, by means of an additional train detector.
This module is effectively a self contained electronic loco controller.
It requires a 12 to 16 volt ( a.c. or D.C. up to 1.5 amps) power input.
It has full, very fast electronic ( less than 50 microseconds ) short
circuit protection, and overload protection. This will prevent damage
to wiring, locomotives, and other electrical and electronic equipment.
