EGYPT
Cool sign near the Valley of the Kings.  You should smile too, even though you aren't in Luxor. One of the Sphinxes that line "Sphinx Avenue" outside of the Temple of Luxor.
The Temple of Luxor at night was probably my favorite temple to visit.
Dzoser's step pyramid was the first pyramid to be built.  It was constructed c. 3000 BC.  The last pyramid to be built stands nearby and is hardly recognizable as a pyramid.
A scene on the wall of Ramses II's tomb.  These tombs are ok, but if you go to Egypt, see the Valley of the Workers instead of the Kings.
This is a scene inside a tomb in the Valley of the Workers.  Their tombs were smaller, but are in much better condition than the Kings' tombs.
Part of the decoration on the ceiling of a temple.
