A plan for global domination? From field commander T-THREE
The (alas) American war on Iraq has demonstrated once again the aggression the western powers will go to in order to get their booty - control of oil, control of a region and ultimately control of the world, although not under direct U.S administration as the right-wing believe when the left talk about 'American world domination'. This is a point that must be stressed. The republic of Iraq is yet another country to feel the brunt of a war for empire, an ongoing war that is more than century old against the third world and (sometimes) the first world to gain ultimate control of the worlds resources and beyond. Americas war on Iraq (with token support from Australian and British forces) could be seen as a stepping-stone towards Americas ultimate target - subduing the Peoples Republic of China.
While Iraq may resist to the last soldier, its looks like Americas conquest of Iraq may well be complete soon enough so why bother protesting the war? Because the US will not stop at Iraq - it will invade country after country in a pattern that suggests China, the only realistic power-bloc to emerge in the coming century (The European Union is too divided at this time), will come under a racist demonisation campaign first of all, then come under attack to once and for all turn China into the sick-man of Asia that westerners with colonial mindsets are nostalgic for. If we stop opposing the American empire, then America simply prepares for its next war uninhibited by any democratic constraints the warmongers have to contend with recently.
During the cold war, Americas resolve to control East Asia was evident during the Korean War (1950-53), the second Indochina War (1960-1975). These wars of aggression were clearly to harass and eventually destroy the newly born Peoples Republic of China, proclaimed in 1949.
The Korean War was waged by America and its South Korean potentate in order to crush the incipent Korean revolution from succeeding in the south and by extension, contain China by having hostile forces on Chinas border with Korea. The first hot war of the cold war concluded indisively with an armistice dividing Korea in two states. Americas plan or taking the Korean peninsula whole was frustrate somewhat by China's role in helping North Korea.
Americas imperial gaze then focused on Indochina - Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. By using South Vietnam as a base they would extend their influence into North Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia by using their favourite methods - massive bombing campaigns, land forces and assassination hit squads. Vietnam defeated the Americans and reunited the country as one and revolutionary forces in Laos and Cambodia, despite massive aerial assaults American forces, won in their wars.
At a time when the U.S, finding its anti-China policy was failing and realising its war in Vietnam was never going to succeed no matter how much violence they used, in an example of 'realpolitik' decided to become friendly with China in the early 70s, taking advantage of Chinas increasing isolation and disputes with the Soviet Union. Now, times have changed considering the balance of forces are well in Americas favour - they have the largest arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and conventional weapons.
Afghanistan was a cakewalk, Iraq may be under American control, for the future its only a matter of America finding another country to attack - Iran is the possible target. America is dependent on war to maintain its economy and its dominance in world politics. Chinas superpower status may eventuate soon enough. America, much in a the way of a Mafia don, dont like competitors - they must be wiped out. It makes sense that Americas failed attempt to destroy China by way of attacking Korea and Vietnam and propping up Taiwan is resurrected once again by attacking Muslim countries and settling old scores (is Iran or North Korea next?) unconstrained by rival superpowers. Eventually Chinese forces and the USA will clash in a nuclear war that will destroy the world - but lets actively protest against any American war aim before that happens
Those opposing the war on Iraq are not just opposing the war on Iraq, but opposing Americas empire building through warfare. It may well be America fighting its wars of aggression until nobody is left to oppose its will. |
