11/22 - Songfest was yesterday @ the showroom inside Dave & Buster's, & it was fun, fun, fun !! the nervousness that was building as the minutes ticked away closer & closer to the performance of my pledge sisters & i were crazy .  but as soon as it was time to go on stage, adrenaline rushed through my body & i simply just strutted my stuff.  [Our theme was  "CHICAGO".  we sang all that jazz, mr. cellophane, & if love was a crime.] all the rehearsing & practices paid off as my pledge sisters & i did the best we could, & were rewarded w/ plenty of beautiful flowers & gifts .  receiving so much flowers & taking so much pictures were crazy  that i felt like it was high school graduation all over again.  3 groups performed yesterday (KEO, BBG, & Gamma Chi Sigma) & all did a wonderful job .  my pledge sisters & i came in 2nd --losing by only 2 points, but that's alright.  my goal wasn't to win, but to be able to get up there w/ attitude, flirt w/ the audience, remember my lines, hit the right notes, & do all the choreography correctly.  if we were to win, that was gonna be a bonus.  i must say, the performance of the KEO peons was absolutely wonderful, & it scored points w/ me when they threw roses into the crowd--many landing on the table my friends were sitting on.  if there was an award on best choreography & costume, my pledge sisters & i would've won .  now i'd like to say some thank you's to the people who are deserving of them.  1st, i'd like to thank  Ms. Louie & Ms. Nip who were wonderful Songfest coaches.  you ladies were very supportive & absolutely precious.  we wouldn't have pulled off a good performance if it was for you 2.  2nd, i'd like to thank my pledge sisters for being patient w/ me when i wasn't hitting the notes & not the getting the lines right.  sorry if my inexperience in organized singing (like choir or chorus) was a bit difficult to handle during practice.  you girls did a wonderful job yesterday, & we looked absolutely amazing !!!  3rd, thanks to my family who's been supportive of my pledging for a sorority.  4th, thanks to all my friends who came to Songfest to watch me perform--thanks for the support!  i was a bit worried you gals would be uncomfortable attending the function 'cause it was sorority & fraternity related, but it looked like you guys had some fun .  plus, you ladies got serenaded to & received roses to take home w/ you [wink wink]. finally, thanks to all the ladies of Gamma Chi Sigma for their support & encouragement @ Songfest.  the flowers & gifts i received from you all are very precious to me.  i'm beginning to see more & more of all that the sisterhood of the sorority can teach me.  i'm a changed person everyone !!

11/19 - i woke up very early this morning.  as my eyes slowly opened to check the time, i could see through my window to find the sky still quite dark & filled w/ ominous gray clouds w/ heavy pouring rain.  the gust of wind blew through my windows & swept through my room & to the rest of the house.  it was a very chilly morning & now it's a very chilly night. my day started off w/ my lil bro waking me up by turning my t.v. on @ 6:20 a.m. to show me that my fav. A&E movie (Pride & Prejudice) was playing. i watched as much of it as i could before i had to head out the door to go to school. i attended all 3 of my classes, & then went off to run some errands.  then i finally came home @ 1:15 p.m. to find the electricity was out @ home.  since it's the afternoon, i didn't mind the black-out except that i hadn't eaten all day .  my source of food needed to be heated, but luckily we've got a gas stove. but when i needed to make phone calls i couldn't 'cause my cell phone's battery died, & the home phones weren't working 'cause their battery ran out, too.  just my luck, huh ?  as soon as i finish hemming my pant, i'm gonna study my a$$ off for my chem exam tomorrow.  why is it that i always attend the lectures, but i can't understand the professor ?  oh well . i've got a very exciting event going on this Fri..  to all my friends, my pledge sisters & i will be performing for Songfest this Fri. for all those interested seeing me glamourized & singing on stage, ring me up & i'll give you more info. on the location.  as of now, i'll be held @ Dave & Busters. okie, gotta go study now.  bye bye !!!
