11/30 - Aaaahh !!!  damn it .  i stayed an extra 30 mins. @ work because this couple ordered 2 combo plates.  ordinarily i would be fine making them, but they came when my shift would end in half an hour.  i already cleaned the grill & turned off the deep frier.  i practically had the entire kitchen cleaned, but then i had to go make the combo plates & those dreadful shrimp tempuras.  damn , do you know how messy that is ???  well, let me tell you....very messy !  when i was finally done making their food, i couldn't find them to give it to them (don't worry, they paid 1st.  ha ha...!  nah, they finally showed up to get their food.).  because of that couple, i was running around like a chicken w/ it's head cut-off trying to clean up the kitchen & clearing everything else so i can get out.  geez , they didn't even care 'bout the trouble they were going to cause me.  they could've done what the other people did...buy whatever food was already out & made.


11/27 - wow , it's been raining so much all day.  i was in a rush to get out of the car when my mom dropped me off, but the umbrella she gave me didn't open up right.  therfore i walked in the rain to my class.  i didn't mind getting a little wet...after all, i only had 1 class today.  however, it didn't stop raining once while i was in class or when it ended, so i walked in the rain to the bus stop that my mom picks me up from.  i tried using my bag to cover from the rain, but that worked a little.  however, my mom was 15 mins. late in picking me up, so i stood under a tree while it kept raining.  i was soaking wet when she finally came.  i knew i should've brought a jacket along, but i thought  getting a little wet wasn't going to be bad.  stupid me , i got wet from head to toe.  as soon as i got home i changed my clothes, & snuggled up in my warm bed.  however, it's still raining.  because of the weather, i got this great view from my window of the mountain top covered w/ fog (or low clouds, you decide).  well, now i gotta get ready for work.  then when i get home from work, i gotta study for my Math exam, & do my lil' assignment for my Asian Studies class....aaAAHH !!!!  it'll probably still be raining by then... 


11/26 - i just came home from school 30 minutes ago.  i'm tired  but i gotta go work in a couple of hours.  starting today, for a couple of months or so, i'll be working on Mondays.  i'm supposed to fill in for a co-worker because she's going back to school, but now it's also because her mother just died.  isn't that sad ?  i hope she's dealing w/ her loss well.  anyways, i spent most of my Thanksgivings weekend just laying around the house doing nothing, cleaning, watching  t.v., or working.  i had a nice & relaxing weekend.  yesterday, i helped my mother make some food, & sorta cleaned up my room.  but it'll be impossible to ever get it so nice & neat .  ahh..i gotta figure out what classes to take next semester.  so far i've figured out 3 classes that i plan to take, but i don't know what the 4th one should be.  i'm thinking  about choosing Journalism or Communication as my major.  damn, that reminds me.  i've got a math exam this coming Wed., & a book to read for Asian Studies.  geez, i'm such a lazy bum.  i know i should've started studying & reading my book, but i watched  t.v. instead...hee hee !  i watched  You've Got Mail on CBS, Persuasion on WE, & the last episode of a Japanese comedy, The Perfect Bride.  my life is so boring that i watch  these movies to transport myself into a fantasy world where i can be anyone or anywhere.  you're beginning to think  i'm strange  aren't ya ??  both Persuasion & You've Got Mail were good movies w/ interesting storylines.  Persuasion is a movie adaption of Jane Austen's book.  i love her novels-- they're soo romantic... 


11/23 - there's no school today--yippee !!!  i spent my morning doing the laundry & watching t.v.  last night Venus was really crappy . there wasn't much peeps @ the club, but that's expected since yesterday was Thanksgivings.  damn , it seems that the more i go to Venus, the more crappier & crappier it gets.  is it me?  am i driving peoples away from the club every time i go ??  that'd be quite funny if it was true.  anyway, i worked today, & my place was quite busy. there were soo much peeps @ the mall.  Macy's opened today...bye bye Liberty House.  i'm sad  to see  it go (even though i rarely ever buy anything from there).  i haven't gone inside Macy's yet to check out the new changes & stuff they've got.  from what i saw on the news, Macy's has a ton of women's shoes..hee hee .  i should stop writing before i sound weirder & weirder .


11/22 - Happy Thanksgiving!! i woke up this morning & watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on t.v.  i woke up around 9 a.m. so i only caught 1/2 of the parade. besides that, i haven't done much today.  i've just been sitting & laying around the house doing nothing.  it's been pretty humid today--soo hot.  seeing Santa Claus @ the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade signals Christmas is coming.  gee , getting in the Christmas mood is hard to do when you live in Hawaii.  it'd be nice if it got a little chilly for winter.  well, i know the Christmas season is here since i was watching Miracle On 34th Street (the original version) on the TCM channel.  i've never seen the original version, only the remake.  the ending of the 2 movies are a bit different.  though, i guess the remake's ending makes a more sensible/modern resolution w/ the entire Santa Claus thing.  i think both movies are wonderful.  maybe there's a Santa Claus after all....
SYNOPSIS: Kris Kringle is the living image of Santa Claus, & served as a last minute replacement for the drunken Santa in Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.  Kringle is later offered a job @ Macy's toy department, but Supervisor Doris Walker, a no-nonsense executive, soon has 2nd thoughts.  Kris is laboring under the delusion that he's the genuine St. Nick, & advising customers to shop elsewhere for toys they can't find @ Macy's.  Amazingly, Mr. Macy considers Kris' shopping tips to be an excellent "gimmick."  A resident of a Manhattan retirement home, Kris agrees to live w/ lawyer Fred Gailey during the Christmas season.  Fred likes Doris so Kris subliminally hopes he can bring the 2 together, & win over the divorced Walker's little daughter Susan who's lost the Christmas spirit.  Complications ensue when Mr. Sawyer, Macy's in-house psychologist, arranges to have Kris locked up in Bellevue as a lunatic.  Gailey represents Kris @ his sanity hearing, rocking the New York judicial system by endeavoring to prove in court Kris Kringle is indeed the real Santa Claus.


11/21 - tomorrow is Thanksgiving...however, my family don't celebrate this holiday.  well, @ least i don't have any classes to attend, & i'm not working either.  i'll probably go out tomorrow night to Venus.  damn , that's the only club i've been to.  that's soo sad yeah ?  anyways....i was rushing to work yesterday ('cause i had been doing a little x-mas shopping earlier), & i met an old friend of mines from elementary.  wow , it was soo nice to see her again.  the last time i saw her probably was after my freshmen year in high school.  i'm glad to see that she's doing well...  i still remember a couple of years ago when she called me up to wish me a happy birthday.  i thought  that was soo sweet of her since she transferred school, & i didn't think  she remembered.  ah..memories .


11/18 - it's Sunday morning & i'm kinda tired . i went out w/ my friends last night after work.  we went to Ward to watch Shallow Hal since we haven't seen each other for a week.  i didn't want to watch Shallow Hal, but i didn't have a choice since it was the only movie none of us had seen.  it's horrible how Rosemary (the obese girl) had to have an inner beauty as the skinny Gwyneth Paltrow [i know it doesn't sound so horrible, but i'm getting to my point].  why can't Rosemary's inner beauty look like herself period ?  why must beauty be about being skinny, tall, great hair, etc. ?  beauty isn't about being all that, right ?  i certainly hope not.  though i objected w/ the movie's storyline, there were some funny  parts in the movie.  however, the only time i really enjoyed it was the ending where Hal accepted the fat "Rosemary".  in the beginning, he fell in love w/ skinny Gwyneth Paltrow, but accepted the fat "Rosemary" in the end because he finally realized inner beauty is much more important than outer beauty after seeing this burned little girl in the hospital.
SYNOPSIS: Hal Larson is the ultimate shallow guy.  He looks for beauty in a woman, & never considers dating someone w/ a less-than-perfect body, smile, & sense of style.  He pursues supermodels, beauty queens, & centerfolds.  After an impromptu hypnosis by self-help guru Tony Robbins while being trapped in a elevator, Hal's view of women makes a 180-degree turn.  Now he sees their true inner beauty.  Enter Rosemary, an overweight Peace Corps volunteer.  Hal envisions Rosemary's kindness & humor as female physical nirvana, & is instantly smitten.  Soon an idyllic romance begins.  When the spell is broken, Hal must face an unrecognizable Rosemary, & learn 1 of life's most important lessons.after watching  the movie, my friends & i decided to go home since it was late (or early in the morning).  it was nice to see them again.  it's soo much fun when we get together 'cause we've got so much to talk 'bout & catch up w/.  anyways, it was 12 something in the morning, & there was a Leonid meteor shower going on.  i've never seen a shooting star or a meteor shower, so i was trying to catch a glimpse of it while being in my cousin's car taking our friends home & on the way to my house.  however, i didn't see anything .  when i got home i told my mom 'bout the meteor shower, so we went outside for awhile to look @ the sky. while my mom was going back to the house i saw something fly across the sky.  then i saw another shooting star !  i did see 1 later but it wasn't as visible as the 2nd 1.  wow , that was soo cool !!!  i had such a fun & good day yesterday & today .


11/15 - yeah!!..i'm not working tonight & i got the result of my Geography exam.  i got a C...that may not sound good, but it's good to me since i had been guessing  the entire time i was taking the test.  i'm relieved to know that my grades, in my standard, aren't soo bad for each of my classes.  anyways, i cut my hair today.  it's 'bout 2 inches shorter than before & the style is a bit different.  plus, i dyed my hair again since i hated seeing my reddish-brown hair w/ an inch of black hair @ my roots.  my hair is supposed to be amber lily (golden brown) [what it says on the box], but it look like dark brown to me.  i've been having an enjoyable, uneventful day so far.  it's nice to stay home tonight...


11/14 - i'm so tired .  i've been working the last 2 nights, & i'm working again tonight.  thank goodness  i'm not working tomorrow 'cause i need a rest.  i found out the score of my Math exam today.  i got a 9 out of a 12.  that's the best score i've gotten out of the past 4 Math exams.  besides that, i got bored yesterday before i went to work, so i began watching this French mini-series (don't worry, there were English subtitles) playing on the Bravo channel.  The Count Of Monte Cristo wasn't that bad--quite entertaining.  however, i was mostly watching  it to hear the actors speak French.  i know i'm weird .
SYNOPSIS: An adaptation of the classic adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas.  Edmond Dantes is falsely accused by those jealous of his good fortune & love Mercedes (a woman who has also been wooed by a man in power--Mondego).  He's sentenced to spend the rest of his life in the notorious island prison Chateau d'If. While imprisoned, Edmond meets Abbe Faria, a fellow prisoner whom everyone believes to be mad.  When Abbe is about to die, he tells Edmond of a fortune he has hidden away on a tiny island which only he knows the location of.  After many years in prison, the old Abbe dies & Edmond escapes disguised as the dead body.  Now free, Edmond finds the treasure Abbe told him of & assumes the identity  of the Count of Monte Cristo.  The "Count" uses his wealth as part of a plan to exact revenge on those who have wronged him: Mondego, his henchman Danglars, & Count Morcef.besides that movie, i also saw Never Been Kissed for the 1st time yesterday on the USA channel.  the movie was so funny, cute, & i loved the ending .  Drew Barrymoore was hilarious in the movie .  aahh, the guy who played the teacher was cute (although a little too skinny for me).  i wish i had a teacher like him in high school...i would've paid more attention in class that way, hee hee .
SYNOPSIS: Josie Gellar is a 25-year-old copy editor @ the Chicago Sun-Times whom wins her 1st writing assignment--a feature about today's "cool" high schoolers.  Josie enrolls in high school to pose as a teen, but was a hopeless nerd & has no idea how to fit in w/ the cool kids.  While Josie becomes friends w/ bookish Aldys & take notice of her good-looking English teacher Mr. Coulson, she realizes she has to infiltrate the cool girls' impossible w/o someone clique, which is to give her a crash course in hipness.  Josie's younger brother Rob, signs up for the same school to act as the cool guy friend she'll need.  When Josie starts making headway & enjoying high school, her editor changes the focus of the story.  He now wants a feature on improper relations between teachers & students--not good for her deepening friendship w/ Mr. Coulson.


11/12 - no school for me today since Veteran's Day is being observed.  however, i gotta work tonight.  that sucks.  well, it's been a pretty sad  day so far.  i woke up & turned on the t.v. to see the news covering the crash of another American Airlines plane.  although, this time it wasn't a terrorist attack.  the news said the engine had fallen out of the airplane.  wow , how scary & tragic, but how the hell did the engine just fall out of the airplane  ?!  anyways...i saw  the movie Saving Private Ryan last night on the ABC channel for the 1st time.  it was a really good--an extremely well-made movie.  the cast was amazing as well w/ Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, & etc.  the movie was quite gruesome @ times w/ all the blood & explosions. the battle scenes make you think of all the men & women serving the U.S. in Afganistan & other countries.
SYNOPSIS: Army Chief of Staff General George C. Marshall learns 3 Ryan brothers from the same family have all been killed in a single week, & requests the surviving brother, Private James Francis Ryan, be located & brought back to the United States.  Captain John Miller gets the assignment & chooses translator Cpl. Upham, skilled in language but not in combat, to join his squad of right-hand man Sgt. Horvath, Private Mellish, a cynical Reiben from Brooklyn, Italian-American Private Caparzo, religious Southerner Private Jackson, & medic Private Wade.  Having previous experience in action in Italy & North Africa, the close-knit squad sets out through areas thick w/ Nazis.  After they lose 1 man in a skirmish @ a bombed village, some in the group begin to question the logic of losing more lives to save a single soldier.


11/11 - it's been a nice sunday for me so far.  i watched Talk Of Angels early this morning since it was airing again on the WE channel.  however, i fell asleep during the last 1/2 hour of the movie...hee hee !  anyways, i haven't done much today...just been sitting around the house watching t.v. (catching up on the korean drama "Her House") & going online.  i did go w/ my mother to drop my little brother off @ this place a couple of  hours ago.  i will be going to Sears in a couple of hours for a little shopping.  it's been nice doing nothing, & not having to work tonight.  however, i will be working tomorrow, which is unusual since i don't work on Mondays.  my manager told me that yesterday.  damn , i thought i'd have another day to rest & be lazy.  oh well....


11/10 - it's sat. & all i've done so far is the laundry, & vacumming my room.  there was a huge load of clothes to wash since my family, & i haven't done the laundry this past week...LOL .  besides that, i watched Come See The Paradise since it was playing again on the WE channel this morning.  yesterday i found out the results of my Religion exam, & i took my Math exam. i got 64 points (out of 100).  since the grading is done on a curve, i'm getting a B for that class, so far.  it's better than what i'm getting for Math, which is a either a high F or low D.  damn it .  i'm soo mad  @ myself for not trying harding in Math.  ugh , i gotta hit the books.  since i was feeling kinda blue  last night, i didn't go out.  i was supposed to go out w/ my older sis to the club All-Stars Hawaii, but i felt like staying home to spend some "me" time.  it's a good thing it's a 3-day weekend.  i'm gonna stay home & sulk .  before i can do that, i gotta go to work in a couple of hours.  oh well... .


11/08 - whoo hoo...no work today !!!  plus, i got my paycheck yesterday....  well, i was quite busy yesterday.  after school i went shopping w/ my older sister & my mom @ Everblue Casuals.  we didn't get anything.  most of the clothes they sell over there aren't my style.  oh well .  my day, so far, has been interesting & enjoyable .  i had only one class to attend today, GEOG 101, & there's a new professor for that class.  he's this middle-eastern looking guy.  he kinda reminds me of Abu from The Simpsons.  hee hee .. i just read an e-mail i got from a friend...she's soo funny .  that really brightened up my day.  ooh, that reminds me.  i gotta write a letter to a friend in Washington, & send a letter to my cousin in California.  about 1/2 an hour ago, this religious guy knocked on my door wanting to talk to me about God, etc.  he had me read some passages from his bible.  i just went along so he could hurry up & leave.  sorry, i'm content w/ my Buddha.  more 'bout yesterday, i watched The Picture Bride on the WE channel.  i 1st watched the movie in 9th grade.  i like that movie.  it's got some subtitles in it, & it's story is set in Hawaii.
SYNOPSIS: In the early 1900's, Japanese women came to Hawaii as "picture brides" contracted to Japanese sugar-cane laborers.  When they arrived, they found their expectations unmet, & trapped in a
life as farm laborers married to a husband neither young or wealthy.  In 1918, 17-year-old orphan Riyo journeys to Hawaii from Yokohama to marry Matsuji, a man she never met, except through photos & letters they've exchanged.  Riyo hopes to escape a troubled past & to start anew, but is bitterly disappointed upon her arrival to see Matsuji sent her an old photo, is 25 years her senior, & Hawaii is not the paradise she expected.  Angered, Riyo refuses to sleep w/ her new husband, but is obligated to work on the sugar plantation.  The miserable girl finds solace w/ her new friend Kana.  Riyo decides she will earn her way back to Japan even though, @ only sixty-five cents per day, it could take years to save the money for the return fare.  She meets more obstacles & continues to stay away from her husband until a tragedy befalls Kana.  This serves to bring the two together, & leads Riyo to accept her new life.  Riyo comes to terms w/ her new home as she discovers a land full of hardship, struggle, & unexpected joy.


11/06 - i took my GEOG 101 exam today, & i think i may have failed it.  i was guessing  during the entire exam.  i did study last night for the exam, but i kept falling asleep .  AAAHH !!!!  well now, i have only one more exam left for this week.  i'm soo tired .  i've been staying up late studying, & i gotta work today.  i should probably go take a nap now....


11/05 - i stayed up 'til 1:30 A.M. to write my essay...& i took my REL 150 exam today.  i think i did alright.  hopefully i got a A or B.  tomorrow i've got my GEOG 101 exam.  i'm going to start studying for that after i get off the computer.  hee hee ....soo funny...today in my Math 100 class, the professor tripped over the leg of the chalkboard as he was lecturing & fell down backwards.  since there's this big table/desk in front of him, the class didn't see him hit the ground.  we just heard the thud that he made.  when he got up, he just said that the fall helped get the class' attention .  besides that, i went shopping @ Ross w/ my mom & older sister today after school.  i got a top, pant, & belt.  geez , i've been buying quite a few pants lately.  i bought a pair a couple of days ago..  whoo hoo..new clothes for me .  anyways..the weather has been quite chilly lately...ah..it's the holiday season...  my favorite time of the year......  ah well, i gotta go study now.


11/04 - i'm taking a break from studying to write this right now.  AAHHH ... there's too much i have to study !!!  i gotta get back to studying after i'm done writing this.  i stayed up 'til 2 in the morning last night watching a funny  movie that was playing on the AMC channel 'cause i wasn't sleepy .  i was surfing through the channels when i noticed a teenage Shirley Temple & Cary Grant on one of the channels.  i've seen some of her movies before, but those were the ones where she was really young.  i thought The Bachelor & the Bobby-Soxer was so funny.  plus, i was able to take my mind off of worrying 'bout my upcoming exams, which was something i really needed....
SYNOPSIS: Teenager Susan Turner has a severe crush on playboy artist Richard Nugent.  She sneaks into his apartment to model for him, & is found there by her sister Judge Margaret Turner.  Judge Turner, believing the best way to curb her sister's crush on the playboyish art teacher, forces Nugent to do what he does best--romance a willing young lady (until the crush abates) by threatening to throw him in jail.  Nugent finds the irrepressible Susan rather wearisome, but he throws himself full-force in the deal, donning teenaged clothes, speaking in nonsense slang ("Voodoo! Who Do? You Do!" etc.), & participating in the athletic events @ a high school picnic.  Nugent eventually divests himself of Susan by arranging for her to fall for a boy her own age.  Meanwhile, Judge Turner realizes that she is truly smitten by Nugent.& today..i saw another Cary Grant movie, by chance.  this 1 was really funny  too.  i was watching it while i was trying to study for my Religion exam.  don't worry..i was able to get some info.  nailed into my brain.  now i gots to go back to studying, & then write my essay..
SYNOPSIS: Anna Kaplan is an accomplished actress who's given up hope finding the man of her dreams.  She's in the middle of taking off her face cream when Philip Adams, an international financial wizard, walk in.  Anna loses her concentration for a moment as she realizes he is the charming, smart, & handsome man she's been waiting for. Anna's sister Phyllis Calvert & brother-in-law Cecil Parker introduces Philip to Anna.  Because he feels he has no time for marriage, Philip pretends to be married to avoid romantic tangles.  Anna, however, finds the prospect of an affair w/ a married man to be quite exhilarating.  The plot thickens as they begin a love @ first sight relationship.  When she discovers the truth, she gets even w/ the now-smitten Philip by faking a romance w/ an ex-boyfriend, which is actually her luckless chauffeur posing as her beau.


11/03 - i'm tired  today.  i went to school yesterday, & i've got a Rel 150 exam on Monday & a Geog 101 exam on Tues. to study for.  plus, i've got a paper to write for my Asian Studies class.  i was planning to start studying after i got off of work yesterday.  well, i didn't get the chance to do that.  i decided to go out w/ my cousin & my older sis & her friends to Venus.  i had fun  dancing, but it wasn't as fun  as the last time i went though.  oh well.  we stayed there 'til 2 something in the morning...then there was an unexpected incident w/ a mutal friend of my sister's.  soo...i didn't get home 'til 3 am my hair still smells like cigarettes from the club even though i washed it.  yuck , it really stinks.  i've got work in a couple of hours, so i'll start studying for my exams when i get home.  @ least i've got the entire day tomorrow to study, & hopefully i'll get lots done.  now, while i'm writing this, i'm watching My Fair Lady on the AMC channel.  i love  the songs sung in thie movie.  it was the 2nd time i've seen this movie.  well, i gotta go put on my make-up now...
SYNOPSIS: Outside Covent Garden on a rainy evening in 1912, dishevelled cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle meets linguistic expert Professor Henry Higgins.  Higgins tells his companion Colonel Pickering that within six months he could could pass Eliza off as a duchess--a proper lady, simply by teaching her proper English.  The next day, face & hands freshly scrubbed, Eliza presents herself on Higgins' doorstep offering to pay to become a lady.  A surprisingly apt pupil, she makes an indelible impression on the professor's mother & a young man, Freddie Einsford-Hill, even before that memorable night @ a ball when Eliza is introduced to high society.  Eliza is despondent when the professor gleefully collects the money he has wagered w/ the Colonel,giving her no credit at all.


11/01 - October has come & gone.  it's now November...so that means Thanksgiving is only a couple of weeks away.  wow , the holidays sure do come quickly during these days.  i'm already thinking  of Christmas & the shopping i'll have to do.  wow !  anyway, i woke up kinda late today.  instead of waking up @ 7 A.M. like i usually do, i woke up @ 8:10 A.M.  i had to rush to get ready for school.  though my class starts @ 9 A.M., my older sis starts work @ 8:30 A.M.  because of that, i didn't have a chance to put on my make-up today.  LOL , it must've been quite scary for peeps to see me w/o make-on. i don't work today, so i stayed home just chilling in my room. when i came home from school, the movie Basil w/ Jared Leto & christian slater was playing on the WE channel.  i've only watched Basil once before, but i only saw 1/2 of the movie.  i find the movie interesting, but just okay.  i continued watching it because Jared Leto .
SYNOPSIS: Basil, a lonely, young English aristocrat in turn-of-the-century England, stuggles to meet the approval of his over-bearing, class-conscious father.  Because of his intense scrutinization, Basil befriends John Mannion, a mysterious stranger who saves him from drowning one day. In the heat of passion, he promises his inheritance to her, but eventually learns that he was being deceived all along.  Drastic events unfold, forcing Basil to mature & take responsibility for his prior actions.then an hour or so after that, i watched Gigi on the TCM channel.  that was a fun movie to watch.  after listening to the honore guy sing Thank Heaven For Little Girls throughout Gigi, he began to sound a bit perverted to me near the ending of the movie.  okay, i gots to go back to my boring life now..
SYNOPSIS: In turn-of-the-century Paris, Gaston Lachaille is a bon vivant much like his uncle Honore.  But Gaston is becoming bored w/ the high life, especially the women. He only truly enjoys the time that he spends w/ one of his uncle's old friends, Madame Alvarez & her granddaughter, the precocious & carefree Gigi.  Gigi is being groomed to follow in her grandmother's footsteps as a famous courtesan.  Then it suddenly occurs to Gaston that he could become her 1st protector, but the situation makes him uneasy until he discovers that he's in love w/ Gigi & wants to marry her.
