02/24 - LOL !!  everyone...you gotta try GOOGLE your name & see the results you'll get 'cause it's soo much fun !  i did it several days ago when i was unable to fall asleep .>  i found out that there are so many people out there w/ the same 1st & last name as i do.  some people even had the same initials i have.  ain't it so freaky to have another person out there sharing the same 1st & last name name ??  ha ha , check out www.loannguyen.com.  that's not my webpage nor is it me, but it's interesting that it exists.  feeling a bit spontaneous  & curious , I came upon a personal webpage of a fellow Loan Nguyen, & i emailed her out of curiousity.  I wasn't sure I'd get a reply, but I thought  i'd have a little fun .  guess what  ?!  she emailed me back !!  lol , i had forgotten i had emailed her, & was a bit perplexed  when i noticed an e-mail from Loan Nguyen in my inbox today when i check it in my ICS class.  i wondered  if i had e-mailed myself (which i have done in the past to get myself info. from a school comp to my home comp), but then finally remembered it was the Loan i had emailed.  i've never known of any other Loan until a couple of years ago on AsianAvenue.com.  now i know there's quite a number of Loans & Loan Nguyen out there, & i'd like to meet 1 face to face in the near future.


02/18 - another day of school.  another day of me wasting time in front of the television.  another day of me getting frustrated @ myself @ not doing better in school & in life.  .

02/15 - my VALENTINE'S DAY wasn't any more special than any other day or any other year.  as i get more older, the idea  of VALENTINE'S DAY isn't as appealing nor special to me. it's probably 'cause i've been single for every VALENTINE'S day that's been celebrated since my existence, & i don't think  people should wait 'til Feb. 14th of each year to profess their love  for someone nor to celebrate their love  w/ their significant other.  those things should be done daily w/ loved  ones--not once a year.  better yet, you can try to do romantic & lovely things for your loved  ones daily & up the lovefest on VALENTINE'S DAY.  either way, i love the VALENTINES specials on t.v..  nothing's better than curling up in bed & watching a romantic movie--hee hee !


02/14 - alright folks, this entry is gonna be long. 1st, i'd like to wish everyone a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !!  enjoy this day of love  whether or not you have a significant other.  now on to other things....  yesterday was Friday the 13th , & boy did its myth of being a weird, spooky, & bad luck day live up.  my day started off @ 3 a.m. when i was awaken by noises coming from my mom.  she was peering out my bedroom window, & told me to call the fire department. that certainly got me up quickly from my bed & over to my window.  i looked out my window to see the large trash bins, not too far from my house, on fire.  i jogged over to my younger bro's window to find the firefighters were already on their way out of the station in their fire truck.  then i walked downstairs & out the door to see the enraging fire more closely. wow , from my place you can definately feel the warmth of the fire, & the flames were really huge.  that fire was even bigger than the normal trash bin fires that occur on New Year's Eve due to firecrackers.  after watching the fire being put out by the firefighters for a little while, i went back to sleep  & woke up again @ 6:30 a.m. to start getting ready for school.  the big news in Hawaii that morning was the car accident on the h-1 freeway that caught on fire & closed off that section.  the accident caused a huge back-up in traffic for Windward folks trying to get in town.  today in my Chinese class there was a quiz.  lol ...it was the most easiest & funniest  quiz i've ever taken!  the quizzes for each lesson are usually quite easy & simple, & yesterday's quiz was the easiest 'cause the professor had forgotten to erase the marks she made for each correct answer on the back page.  so basically we had to answer the 5 question in the front, & 10 true or false questions in the back while the 10 multiple choice & matching section's answers were marked on the page already.  it was so funny  when everyone flipped their quiz over to the 2nd page & began giggling.  the professor thought we were being odd, so a classmate told her 'bout the marked answers.  lol , she was so embarassed .  later that night, i attended a party being thrown by the KEO fraternity--particularly by my ex-pledge bros..  there was a good turn out @ the party--probably 'cause of the free drinks .  wow, i've never attended party filled w/ so many strangers before--lol.  @ 1st i was a bit uncomfortable @ the party 'cause i didn't know anybody there except the KEO bros., my pledge bros., my older sis, & her Gammie sisters.  that may sound alright, but most of the people i mentioned...i'm not that close w/.  then i saw some friends outside the "v.i.p. room" i was in.  i went to join them, & got some drinks in me.  as soon as i got some alcohol in my system, my nerves eased up, & i was able to enjoy the rest of the party hanging w/ my friends & schmoozing w/ some folks i knew.  it's interesting how alcohol in my system can loosen me up & get me talking.  so that's how my intriguing Friday the 13th went.  there's probably some more details & things i could add to this entry, but it's too damn long for me to continue.  plus, i don't wanna type any more, so i'm outtie folks.


02/05 - i had a funny  incident today in school. i have 2 classes that's located in the same KUY room, but on alternating days.  i went to my WS 200 class early to finish an assignment, & i noticed a blue notebook placed on the chalkboard--apparently some body forgot  their notebook in class. from time to time, i don't know why, i'd look @ the notebook not thinking  anything 'bout it.  even when i was having a conversation w/ a classmate, i was staring @ the blue notebook. then a light bulb turned on in my head. that blue notebook looks a lot like my blue notebook. i started thinking ..."i didn't lose my notebook, right ?  isn't it in my bag ?"  so i checked my bag to find out my notebook wasn't there.  then i thought , "hmmm....i might have forgotten it on my bed. or maybe i should check to see if that notebook is mines.. ??" so i told my classmate the notebook looks a lot like the 1 i have, & walked over to the chalkboard to check it out.  low & behold, that notebook was mine !!  can you believe that ?! i accidently left my notebook in that class yesterday, & i didn't know it was gone. then another light bulb turned on in head.  i now remember that i had placed my notebook under my desk in my HIST 282 class yesterday just before i took a quiz, & i forgot  i left it there after class was over.  lol ...i'm so forgetful!  here's another funny  thing: while i was @ the stop light where you walk from the parking structure @ UH over to the campus, i spotted the Hawaii guy who had auditioned for American Idol saying he wanted to become an American Idol to get a girlfriend.  he's quite a skinny guy, & was wearing that blue vest he wore for the audition .  lol !!!!  oh this day has been quite wacky ...


02/04 - okay y'all here's another movie review.  yesterday i borrowed a bunch of dvds from the school library, but i was able to watch only 1 of them.  the movie i watched was Ditto, a Korean movie i've wanted to watch for a while since i found out the library had a copy. the storyline of Ditto is reminiscent of the American film Frequency. it's an intriguing story about a person from the past & a person from the future communicating w/ each other through a ham radio.  i really enjoyed  the movie, & found it quite refreshing from the other movies i've been watching. the actors & actresses in Ditto did a really good job, too.  lol ,i was actually familiar w/ the cast through the k-dramas i've been watching on KBFD, & the Korean dvds i've been borrowing from the library.
 Synopsis: When Shilla University student So-Eun Yoon accidentally becomes the owner of a ham radio, she begins an airwave correspondence w/ In, who attends the same university. The 2 decide to arrange a meeting under a clock tower on campus, but when they miss each other they realize that they exist 21 years apart.  So-eun lives in a politically tumultuous 1979, while In, situated in 2000, is a member of the relatively worry- free Internet generation.  the 2 begin a friendship that'll later bring trouble to a budding romance between So-eun & an upperclassman.  the decision she will make whether or not to continue the romance will determine In's existence. 02/03 - did y'all see the Janet Jackson boob shot during the Super Bowl half-time show?? i've probably seen the same shot of Justin Timberlake ripping off Janet Jackson's right boostier off @ the end of their performance w/ the boob hanging out exposed a hundred times already.  every channel i changed to from the local news to network evening news to the cable news networks, they've played that same shot over & over again discussing it.  for young people who grew up w/ MTV & saw the Britney-Madonna-Christina kiss, it's kinda like, "oh my god ! what the *#?! & then, "whatevers, i'm over it." personally i'm happy  my younger bro had just turned away when the reveal happened live. shocking events like that should be kept on cable channels, & not be spread to the network channels. who out there actually believes the "boob shot" was a "wardrobe malfunction" as Justin Timberlake calls it ??  i sure don't & i hope he doesn't think  the rest of the Super Bowl viewers are stupid enough to accept that lame excuse.  the stunt coincided w/ his song's lyrics ("...i'm gonna get you naked by the end of this song.."), & i saw the interview he gave to Access Hollywood after he got off stage from the performance.  he was grinning  & said something like he likes giving the people something to talk about.  obviously he wasn't sorry 'bout the stunt then, so why should i believe he's sorry he's offended the people who were watching the performance w/ their children not expecting anything lude & obscene to occur since it was prime time & it was the Super bowl.  network channels are supposed to have a higher level of decency than the cable channels.  if i wanted to see naked people or hear vulgar words i can change over to a cable channel or look @ porn.  let me seek for vulgarity & obscenity rather than throwing it in my face when i'm watching a program that's supposed to be family-oriented & friendly.  i hope the FCC do their job to not let this happen again.  now, who wants to see my "wardrobe malfuntion"??.
