04/29 - for those who haven't seensEE! me yet, i've got a new looksEE! for my hair. LOL LOL!, it's bright red red!!!!! @ 1st i was a bit scared the red made me looksEE! like Ronald McDonald's wife, but now i'm really loving LOVE! it since i got lots of compliments from my co-workers & other people (like customers, people i run in to, etc). i'm feeling more comfortable w/ the brightness of my hair, & all the staressEE! i get from it. i did the highlighting/dying myself, & it's nice people think think! it was professionally done. well, i always did intend to be a cosmotologist or hairstylist if the whole journalist thing doesn't work out. as for everything else...i'm having lots of fun fun! shopping now that i've gotten an extra 20% discount (upon the 20% i already get for employee discount) from Macy's.

04/22 - LOL LOL!!! lately i've been getting compliments on my supposedly great speaking skills =). i've also been questioned ?? lately what high school i attended, & the person asking would respond in amazement !! of my answer. apparently those people find my spoken English so proper that they thought i went to a stuck-up, expensive private school (which i didn't) or am from the mainland (like Cali). i've have those compliments told to me in the past, but not several times in 1 week--kinda strange ?!. i'm not purposely trying to sound like a snob or anything like that...i just talk like that. ha ha LOL!...i guess it's a sign from the higher beings above that i should stay on the Journalism path since i've been wavering on maybe doing something else. though it's gonna take me awhile to finish school, i think ... i'm resolved now to pursue Journalism & seesEE! how far i can pursue the broadcasting thing. what do you peeps think ??? should i try be the future news reporter or news anchor of the local news stations (maybe even strive for network news), or should i just cut my losses & move on to something else ????

04/21 - the past 4 days have been busy & tiring ... for me--mostly 'cause i've been working the closing shift for those days & again today. i wasn't supposed to work this past Mon., but i did 'cause my co-worker was sick. i'm really anxious for this day to be over, so i can happily spend my day off just chilling or studying.

04/16 - my labtop's wireless internet connection ain't working right, so now i'm on the desktop. i called up the company of my wireless router for help thinking think! the router was the problem, but they told me it's probably the network card in my labtop. to find out whether the router or the card wasn't working, i had to go to Starbucks or a place w/ wireless internet connection to seesEE! if the internet would work on the labtop. apparently it didn't work no matter where i went inside Kahala Mall, so that means the problem is the card. i called up Sony 'bout an hour ago to check it out, &they say it probably is. so now i'm making recovery discs for my labtop, & then i gotta call Sony back so they can send me the box to ship to them to get the card fixed. ugh!!!

04/12 - it's back to school after the Easter weekend, & i struck luck finding $20 on my way to class--that's gonna start my week off good. plus, i took my HIST 282 midterm today. i think i did alright sEE!. hopefully the grade will be a "C" or better. a lot of t.v. watchingsEE! hindered my studying yesterday, but @ least i was making a lot of effort trying to study--right ??? besides watching the re-aired Daniel Deronda on the Masterpiece Theatre program, i watchedsEE! Band Of Brothers on the History Channel. the 1st of the 10-part miniseries wonderfully sets the storyline & the action that is to occur to the Easy Company paratroopers once they enter the front lines of WW2. The actors in Band Of Brothers are familiar faces--especially David Schwimmer (Ross of Friends) & Donnie Wahlberg of the 80's boy group New Kids On The Block. the other actors are people i've seensEE! in another t.v. shows & movies--like Damian Lewis of Masterpiece Theatre's Forsythe Saga. i'm gonna be @ work when tonight's 2nd part airs, so i'll be getting my younger bro to record it for me.
Band Of Brothers (2002)
Synopsis: This 10-part miniseries is based on the book written by Stephen E. Ambrose about Easy Company, 506th Regiment. The series dramatically recreates the path of Easy Company, an elite paratrooper unit, from their basic training @ Camp Toccoa in Georgia in 1942 to D-Day--their critical involvement in the Battle of the Bulge. The unit was 1 of the best trained & most productive in American military history. Band Of Brothers is an ensemble piece involving dozens of characters. The closest to a central character is Dick Winters--went to Toccoa as a lieutenant & was promoted over the course of the war to battalion commander. Each episode includes brief excerpts from present-day interviews w/ some of the surviving members of the company. The series dramatizes the courage & fortitude of the Easy Company men, but it's clear Winters sets the tone for them. He plays a pivotal role in the unit's success. The story of Easy Company has been condensed & altered in some minor ways for dramatic purposes, & much of the dialogue was invented. However, strong emphasis was put on accurately depicting the conditions under which those men lived, fought, & died.

04/11 - work has been quite fun fun!, alright, & down right painful (on my poor feet ...) . standing & walking around the handbag area for hours (especially w/ heels) can do damage & make work hard. oh well. i got my 1st paycheck this past Friday. the amount wasn't as a big as i thought think! it would be, but i'm sure the next 1 will be. oh yeah, Happy Easter !!! okie now on to my movie reviews for Joseph: King of Dreams, My Sexiest Mistake, Murder @ 1600. ha ha LOL!...those are the movies i've watchedsEE! today on t.v. while i "studied" for my HIST 282 midterm. this morning i watchedsEE! Joseph: King Of Dreams on the Cartoon Network w/ my younger bro as we ate our breakfast. i believe i may have seensEE! the movie before, but it was alright to watchsEE! it again since there was nothing else interesting. the movie was interesting--not too much religious aspects to be put off by it, & Ben Affleck was the voice of Joseph. that part i didn't know & was shocked to find out as the credits rolled @ the end of the movie.
Joseph: King Of Dreams (2000)

Synopsis: The animated movie centers on the biblical story & life of Joseph, a "miracle child" w/ the gift of interpreting dreams. He's sold to Potiphar, the captain of Pharaoh's army. Joseph's hard work is noticed by Potiphar, & he is put in charge of the household. There Joseph meets Asenath--who later becomes his wife. Then Joseph is thrown into prison by Potiphar after Potiphar's wife falsely accuses Joseph of "harming" her. He meets the Pharaoh's baker & butler there, & interprets their dreams so they'll tell the Pharoh of his gift when they're released. After they leave, Joseph is left there for a few more years until Potiphar arrives to release him 'cause Pharaoh needs him to interpret a dream that's been torturing him. okie now 'bout the Oxygen channel's movie, My Sexiest Mistake. i've watchedsEE! the movie several times before, but i watchsEE! it again & again every time i find it on. ha ha LOL!...that's wonderful & cute i find the movie. watch it!
Synopsis: What happens when a romance novelist w/ writer's block gets set up w/ a male escort who really isn't 1, but instead turns out to be the man of her dreams? The answer isn't as simple as it might seem. Amy is in that position when she mistakens Jeff, her new publisher, as the giggolo her literary agent Helene set her up w/ to get her juices going to write her next romance novel. The misunderstanding is made when Jeff waves for the waitress, but has Amy assuming he was calling her over. Jeff mistakens Amy's rambling of giggolo-related activities as flirting, & lack of dating knowledge since he recently divorced. Though there's a misunderstanding between the 2, it seems they're perfect for each other. Will they end up together once everything is sorted out??
(based on Kristin Hardy's novel w/ the same name.)
now here's the last review for Murder @ 1600. the movie had lots of twists & turns. so much cover-up was going on within the White House by the Secret Service after a mudered occured there. i found the movie intriguing & entertaining--something i wasn't expecting. it gets me wondering hmm... what the government knows & is hiding.
Synopsis: During a time which President Jack Neil is undecided on his actions against North Korea holding U.S. soldiers hostage, the body of a young female staffer is found in a White House wash room. Top Washington D.C. homicide detective Harlan Regis is assigned the murder investigation, but then he finds out the Secret Service is launching their own investigation. They have hold of all the evidence for themselves, & tells Regis to stay out of their way. Soon the National Security Advisor, Alvin Jordan, intervenes in Regis's favor. A frustrated Regis becomes suspicious of a White House cover-up, & convinces secret service agent Nina Chance to aid him in the case beginning to suspect both the President & his ill-tempered son Kyle.

04/07 - working @ Macy's has been alright soo far. my co-workers are really nice & very helpful. i worked yesterday & i'm off today. however, i'll be working again tomorrow & the next 2 nights. there's a sale tomorrow @ Macy's, so it'll probably be quite busy. now i've got sad news to report: local girl Camile Velasco on American Idol was tonight's kicked-off contestant. though she's struggled through out her time on American Idol, i was still rooting for her 'cause she's so adorable, likable, & i love love! her raspy R&B voice. this year is the 1st time i'm following the American Idol show (but not a voter). in previous years i'd only watchsEE! the audition shows for the laughs LOL! of hearing all those terrible singers who believe they have an amazing voice. i guess now i only have the other local girl, Jasmine Trias, to root for. hopefully she'll last longer. as for Camile i hope a record producer noticed her talent, & willing to sign some type of contract w/ her.
