- for those who haven't seen me yet, i've got a new look for my hair. LOL , it's bright red !!!! @ 1st i was a bit scared the red made me look like Ronald McDonald's wife, but now i'm really loving it since i got lots of compliments from my co-workers & other people (like customers, people i run in to, etc). i'm feeling more comfortable w/ the brightness of my hair, & all the stares i get from it. i did the highlighting/dying myself, & it's nice people think it was professionally done. well, i always did intend to be a cosmotologist or hairstylist if the whole journalist thing doesn't work out. as for everything else...i'm having lots of fun shopping now that i've gotten an extra 20% discount (upon the 20% i already get for employee discount) from Macy's. |

- LOL !! lately i've been getting compliments on my supposedly great speaking skills . i've also been questioned lately what high school i attended, & the person asking would respond in amazement of my answer. apparently those people find my spoken English so proper that they thought i went to a stuck-up, expensive private school (which i didn't) or am from the mainland (like Cali). i've have those compliments told to me in the past, but not several times in 1 week--kinda strange . i'm not purposely trying to sound like a snob or anything like that...i just talk like that. ha ha ...i guess it's a sign from the higher beings above that i should stay on the Journalism path since i've been wavering on maybe doing something else. though it's gonna take me awhile to finish school, i think i'm resolved now to pursue Journalism & see how far i can pursue the broadcasting thing. what do you peeps think ? should i try be the future news reporter or news anchor of the local news stations (maybe even strive for network news), or should i just cut my losses & move on to something else ?? |

- the past 4 days have been busy & tiring for me--mostly 'cause
i've been working the closing shift for those days & again today.
i wasn't supposed to work this past Mon., but i did 'cause my co-worker
was sick. i'm really anxious for this day to be over, so i can happily
spend my day off just chilling or studying. |

- my labtop's wireless internet connection ain't working right, so now
i'm on the desktop. i called up the company of my wireless router for
help thinking the router was the problem, but they told me it's probably
the network card in my labtop. to find out whether the router or the
card wasn't working, i had to go to Starbucks
or a place w/ wireless internet connection to see if the internet would
work on the labtop. apparently it didn't work no matter where i went
inside Kahala Mall, so that means the problem is
the card. i called up Sony 'bout an hour ago to check
it out, &they say it probably is. so now i'm making recovery discs
for my labtop, & then i gotta call Sony back
so they can send me the box to ship to them to get the card fixed. ugh!!! |

- it's back to school after the Easter
weekend, & i struck luck finding $20 on my way to class--that's
gonna start my week off good. plus, i took my HIST 282 midterm
today. i think i did alright . hopefully the grade will be a "C"
or better. a lot of t.v. watching hindered my studying yesterday,
but @ least i was making a lot of effort trying to study--right ? besides
watching the re-aired Daniel Deronda
on the Masterpiece Theatre program,
i watched Band Of Brothers on
the History Channel. the 1st of
the 10-part miniseries wonderfully sets the storyline & the action
that is to occur to the Easy Company paratroopers once they
enter the front lines of WW2. The actors in Band
Of Brothers are familiar faces--especially David
Schwimmer (Ross of Friends) & Donnie
Wahlberg of the 80's boy group New Kids On The Block.
the other actors are people i've seen in another t.v. shows &
movies--like Damian Lewis of Masterpiece
Theatre's Forsythe Saga.
i'm gonna be @ work when tonight's 2nd part airs, so i'll be getting
my younger bro to record it for
me.![]() (found & altered from blockbuster.com) |

- working @ Macy's has been alright soo far. my co-workers are really nice & very helpful. i worked yesterday & i'm off today. however, i'll be working again tomorrow & the next 2 nights. there's a sale tomorrow @ Macy's, so it'll probably be quite busy. now i've got sad news to report: local girl Camile Velasco on American Idol was tonight's kicked-off contestant. though she's struggled through out her time on American Idol, i was still rooting for her 'cause she's so adorable, likable, & i love her raspy R&B voice. this year is the 1st time i'm following the American Idol show (but not a voter). in previous years i'd only watch the audition shows for the laughs of hearing all those terrible singers who believe they have an amazing voice. i guess now i only have the other local girl, Jasmine Trias, to root for. hopefully she'll last longer. as for Camile i hope a record producer noticed her talent, & willing to sign some type of contract w/ her. |
