As the singer of the band i also write the lyrics to songs and make them have meaning and make sure they are connected to something.
Be Here With Me Now was the first song made by Matt, Jonny and Niall on an acoustic guitar. Its about an old girlfriend of mine, we went through a bad break up and we still liked eachother. I felt low, alone and just wanted her to come back to me so I could be happy again. In Jonny's eyes its about Abigail.
Hypnotized is the second song we made, when i heared it and had to add lyrics to it i was like "phwoar your joking arent ya!" So I listened to it over and over and i felt the song was a bit like a spell. A certain someone asked us to write a song about her and this was it. Its basically how she hypnotises us and how we cant do any thing else but think about her. We thought that this girl was like a spell cos she is so nice in everyway and is to good to be true.
High & Dry is about a gal who I liked but every time we made plans she would blow me out and would leave me high and dry. In my view its our best song out of the bunch because the guitaring is good, the lyrics are good, and is overall good.
First Time Again is about a boy who is the first to go through everything. In this case he is the first to start a relationship with a girl out of his mates, he doesnt know how to progress with the girl etc. Its basically a sad story. The song is not yet finished because
Sick & Twisted is about a scary situation someone is in, and they dont know how to get out of it. They do the worst things to try and get out of it and basically dig a deeper hole for themselves. Its not finished yet because we dont really like it.
Be Here With Me Now - we're going to try and rock this up at some point. We're going to include more instruments but keep the original part on acoustic. Should be fun, worried about destroying it though.
Hypnotised - is pretty much finished so there won't be any major changes to this.
Sick & Twisted - is a dead Dodo. It is completely scrapped. Didn't flow at all.
High & Dry - Still probably our best song and this too wont have many changes done to it.
First Time Again - we will come back to this once we can get a good session with drumming. It's a bit weak in places.
The New Un-named song - Needs a lot of work because it is new. Jonny doesnt like it and Matt does.
