| Past Gigs St Thomas More's Battle of the Bands was the debut performance from the band who where then known as 'The Lxix'. We played The Strokes (12:51) and Nirvana (Teen Spirit) to the crowd's ecstatic enjoyment. Right. 1st Place: Mock Rock 2nd Place: Broadwalk 3rd Place: Elektrik Shok We came somewhere after fourth, but the important thing is not winning, but beating Random (and taking part). Jazz Night at the Monty Club in Eltham was a performance sprung on us at the last minute. Fortunatly we had a practice with Frank the same day. Unfortunatly, the soundcheck people where deaf, which made a few problems and also made us sound shit. We played a load of covers and thats it really. Was still fun but very crap. Matt hated it. Jonny and Matt ended the evening by playing 'Be Here With Me Now' (our acoustic song) and an acoustic version of 'Times Like These' by Foo Fighters. |
