Some Interesting Pictures
Here are a few pictures I think are pretty interesting and there are more on my picture page 2, and My Family Page - don't miss them.
A part of Logansport history
Way to go, Jim!!!
Kenesaw Mountain Landis
Born in Logansport. First Commissioner of Baseball. I suggested that his name be used for the new elementary school.
Jim Turner
Best high school baseball coach in Indiana. Career included state champions in 1975,1977, 1979 and 1991. This picture is on his hall of fame plaque presented in 1980. He retired after 28 truly great seasons.
May favorite player who I saw in person.
Ty Cobb and Shoeless Joe Jackson
Mickey Mantle
My favorite major league player who I saw in person.  I was in the old Yankee Stadium the day before he hit his 500th home run.  Just my luck, the next day we went sight-seeing and that's the day he hit it.
Ty Cobb & Shoeless Joe Jackson
What a pair. The stories say Cobb used to sit on the dugout steps before games and sharpen his spikes. Do you think that was intimidating to infielders? Jackson is more famous now than he was during his playing days thanks to "Field of Dreams."
Great basketball coach
Cliff Wells
He coached Logansport High School from 1922 through 1945. His teams won 71 percent of their games including the only state championship in 1934. What do you think of the chances of that happening again?
Ryan and Patrick
Ryan and Patrick had quite a few adventures when they were little. They tried to ride their bikes from Ryan's house to Patrick's, and got lost. This is a picture taken of them it looks like France Park. They obviously lost something here also. Butt, what the heck, they were only young once.
The New Indiana Mr. Basketball
Josh Burt
Reggie Miller
He helped to make the Indiana Pacers something for Hoosiers to be proud to be called fans
Josh Burt
One of two former Eagles players still playing college baseball.
This is a picture using the "Google Earth" program of my neighborhood. My house stands out pretty well (it's the brown one on Westgate Drive in the middle of the picture.  According to the map, my house is located at 40 degrees 46 feet 21.36 inches north and 86 degrees 20 feet 32.55 inches west. It is 659 feet above sea level. I just thought it was neat that you can get this kind of reproduction from a satellite picture. There seems to be someone standing in the front yard of my house waving at the satellite.
