A KATRINA ORCHID

Davis.  Her story Gas Lines won the Truckee Meadows Writers short story prize.  Her play Voodoo Nickel was produced at the Playwrights' Forum in Memphis Tenn. is 2006 and was originally workshopped at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Conference. This is her first published short short story.

Merry Speece has published two poetry chapbooks and been a recipient of a state arts commission fellowship in prose. Her Sisters Grimke Book of Days, which one reviewer called a prose poem, was published in 2003 by Oasis Books (England).
