Oklahoma Law? There needs to be a law here in Oklahoma much like the one in Massachusetts, that prevents realtors from only having a few favorite inspectors on their list for referrals. Realtors should provide a whole list of qualified inspectors in their area, and not suggest one over the other. I will suggest that home buyers get involved, write to your legislators to enact amendments to real estate licensing laws. These amendments would add a "firewall" between real estate agents and home inspectors giving the home buyer a better opportunity to hire the inspector of their choice.
