It featured the handsome and intimidating Raymond Burr as Perry Mason, attorney extraordinaire, Barbara Hale as the delightful, delectable Della Street his private, personal, and confidential secretary, and Paul Drake--world's greatest gumshoe and hungriest best friend. With a combination like this it's no wonder that it became an instant hit and has remained the iconic premiere legal series of all time. Nine years (1957-1966) and 26 made for TV movies have only added more power to that icon. |
