The
Louisville Minor Hockey Association began operation in the Fall of
1970. The founder and first President of LMHA was Jack MacDonald. The
first group of coaches were Leo Murphy, Bob Sommerfield, Lyle
Robertson, Gary Cross, Herb Ducolon, Harold Eastwood, Jack MacDonald
and Fred Toomey. 1974 Gary
Edwards became LMHA's second President. Under the guidance and
direction of Jack, Gary and succeeding President and Boards of
Directors LMHA has grown over the past 32 years.
We would like to take
this opportunity to thank Jack MacDonald, Gary Edwards and their
families, the original coaches and parents involved in getting this
LMHA off the ground and sticking with the LMHA through those early
years.
The Louisville
Minor Hockey Association is a Tier III organization in New York State
Amateur Hockey's Northern Zone. Our home rink is The Louisville Arena
located in Louisville, NY.
