ABOUT THE TEAM
The Lawfield Lightning Atom Hub Hockey Team is a Minor Development (MD) classified hockey team, playing in the Hamilton City Hub Hockey League in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  Our primary arena is Lawfield Arena in the Lawfield neighbourhood, found on the East "Mountain" of Hamilton, Ontario.

As stated, the Lightning play in the Hamilton City Hub Hockey League, which governs itself independantly under the playing rules of Alliance Hockey, one of four hockey governing bodies in Ontario.   The club is made up of 17 boys and girl born in 1993 and 1994, and they play a 28 game season against teams in the Greater Hamilton area.  The players also play as many as five or six tournaments around the Ontario area as well, adding as many as 30 more games to their season.  Including some exhibition tilts along the way, their season could total more than 60 games throughout the year.  Not too bad for some pretty small legs, I would think.

Along with the players, the club includes a dedicated staff of Head Coach Blair Huffman, assistant coaches Gerry Kilby and Steve LoPresti, and trainer Thierry Baeta.  The managing duties belong to Karen Campanelli and Kandi Baeta.

So follow along with our club throughout 2003-2004 and see how we transition from a new group of hockey players into a fun loving hockey TEAM.  After all, if you don't have a solid sense of TEAM, you cannot be successful.  Remember, Together, Everyone Achieves More.
