I wasn’t born yesterday, nor did I start using the internet yesterday.

If recognise (or even suspect) plagiarism in your essays, there will be BIG trouble.

The very same search engines you use to find stuff to cut and paste into

your essays will also help me check up on you!

So, acknowledge your sources and use plenty of quotes,

but make the essay yours!

The internet has many terabytes of unsavoury content,

I would encourage you not to follow links in any “pop-up” windows.

Similarly, I would advise you to avoid “chat rooms” as the others therein

may not be who or what they claim.

Be extremely careful not to disclose personal information to anyone else over the web,

even if you think you know them.

A hyperlink may or may not direct you to useful information,

but I am obliged to point out that I’m not in any way responsible for the content of other websites.
