Chaucer

Keep in mind that critics have written about Chaucer for centuries.

One of my favorite books on Chaucer is the seven-volume

Five Hundred Years of Chaucer Criticism and Allusion 1357-1900

(Caroline F.E. Spurgeon, Oxford U P, 1914-25).

Now we're up to six hundred years of criticism, and more books and articles were

written in the 20th century alone than in the previous five hundred years.

You simply cannot, nor should not, expect to be comprehensive in your research and your citations.

Here are just some of the links out there. I suggest you have a browse and get lost in the world of Chaucer!
