Claus and René talk about the upcoming Aqua concerts (06/06/08)

Past Wednesday, the official presentation of Grøn Koncert took place at Tuborg (Denmark), on board of a ship called Madonna. All the bands who will participate in the 8 concerts of this music festival were present. But the press had special interest in Aqua, represented by Claus Norreen and René Dif.

GAFFA and BT interviewed them, asking about the Aqua comeback and their plans for the Grøn Koncert. Some interesting details were mentioned in these interviews:

• There will be 12 people on stage, including four members of Aqua and a band of 8 musicians to assist them.
• The band has been playing together for one month now, and they are conducted by Peter D�ring, a danish producer, guitarist and drummer.
• D�ring has assisted Aqua in finding new arrangements for the old songs, in order to make them sound like today's music.
• Despite the new arrangements, more lively and band-sounding, with a couple of very rock numbers, most of the music will still be in pop's universe.
• They will play a completely new song.
• They will play one of the new songs already introduced in 2001's Grøn Koncert.
• They will play a song from their early days (could it be Itzy Bitzy Spider?).
• The setlist will also include the most succesful singles of Aqua, as well as songs like Around The World (René Dif's personal choice).
• The chemistry between the four members is back, and despite the difficult moments in the past, now they know each other better.
• They are very excited about playing live & together again. For Claus, it's kind of a nostalgia trip.
• The response of the public will help them to decide if these 8 concerts mean the end or a fresh new start for Aqua.
