Aqua will tour Denmark with Grøn Koncert 2008 (07/12/07)

It was already a rumour when Aqua announced their comeback at the end of October, but now it's been confirmed: Claus, Lene, René and Søren will play at next year's Grøn Koncert (Green Concert), a benefic event that will tour Denmark from 17th to 27th of July, with the intention of gathering funds for the Muscular Dystrophy campaign.

This is the same summer festival where Aqua last performed in 2001, just weeks before their split up. It seems like an appropiate, symbolic event for their comeback.

The planned dates of this festival are as follows:

July 2008
• Thursday 17th: Esbjerg (Skibhøj)
• Friday 18th: Herning (Messecenter Herning Concert Arena)
• Saturday 19th: Århus (Vestereng)
• Sunday 20th: Aalborg (Trekanten v/ Hvorup Kirkevej)
• Thursday 24th: Kolding (Idrætsanlægget v. Mosevej)
• Friday 25th: Odense (Dyrskuepladsen)
• Saturday 26th: Næstved (Holsted Nord)
• Sunday 27th: Copenhagen/Valby (Valbyparken)

More Aqua concerts are expected to happen in Summer 2008, both in Denmark and other interested countries, but for now the 8 Grøn Koncert dates are the only confirmed performances. During the after-party of the Grøn Koncert press conference, René Dif himself confirmed to Gaffa that Aqua is back because the four members enjoy playing together again and that their plans include touring all throughout Europe.
