Official details about the new Aqua Documentary (29/11/2005)

Finally we can confirm you official details about the previously announced Aqua documentary, directed by Tmas Gislason.

It was premiered last November 12th at the closing gala of CPH:DOX, the International Documentar Festival that took place at Copenhaguen (Denmark) from November 4th to 13th.

The film is titled Turn Back Time and lasts 58 minutes. It's been directed by Tmas Gislason, produced by Stine Boe Jensen (Funk Films for SUBSTANZ), filmed by Mads Thomsen and edited by Nicolaj Monberg.

Tmas Gislason reunited the four former members of Aqua (Lene, Claus, Sren and Ren), and closed them together in a summer cabin for 12 hours. They were not allowed to leave the cabin until the 12 hours expired, and therefore the shooting of the film was finished.

A computer randomly selected 140 questions, from a larger data-base. Lene, Claus, Sren and Ren had then to answer them, share opinions, discuss many related topics... After a careful start (they hadn't been chatting together for a long time), they soon felt comfortable again with their old time colleagues and friends. Themes they talked about include: the fame days, their feet on the ground again, regrets, Ren Dif's book Popdreng (which featured some hard opinions about Lene, Claus & Sren)...

Turn Back Time also features fragments of Aqua's videoclips, and some live & TV performances, including "Funiculi Funicula" with Luciano Pavarotti, mixed within the documentary. It's unsure yet whether there are performances of any unreleased tracks or not.

Let's hope that this Turn Back Time documentary gets a proper release on DVD, or a major theatrical release.
