New Aqua's single & album for 2006? (11/10/2005)

Weeks ago, someone posted a rumour at the on-line and free encyclopedia Wikipedia about a supposed new Aqua single called Dolphin Time. The source also said that there already was a 2-track promotional CD circulating in some music & press circles, featuring the "Edit" and "12'' Remix Instrumental" versions.

And some days later, the same person completed this information with the supposed title of the forthcoming album, 4-inch Subwoofer, and its tracklist:

  • Dolphin Time
  • Hi-Fi Stereo
  • King of the Zoo
  • Sweetie Pie
  • Old Brown Shoes
  • Survey of Love
  • Wasn't Quite Right
  • Have You Ever
  • 4-Inch Subwoofer
  • Here Comes the Birds (Bonus track)

The third track, King of the Zoo, according to this source would be a cover of a Yoko Ono's song.

Hi-Fi Stereo and Here Comes The Birds are indeed true Aqua songs, never properly released but both perfomed live by Aqua in some concerts. You can learn more about them in a past Aquarama.tk article and read their lyrics in the Lyrics & Chords section.

However, all this information about a supposed new Aqua album becomes quite doubtful because back into 2004, the japanese group Angels released an album called Classical Trance Masterpieces featuring the instrumental track AQUA (Dolphin Song). I uploaded a snippet of this trance song so you can download and listen to it.

It obviously looks like someone, intentionally or not, mislabeled the title of this Angels' AQUA (Dolphin Song) track with a new Aqua single.

So don't get your hopes too high: the new single is most probably fake, and the same goes for the strange tracklist of the album. Besides, with Lene pregnant for a second time, Sren going on with his Lazyboy project, Ren acting in some danish movies and Claus aside of any musical projects, it looks very unlikely that they had or will have any time to record something together.
