Claus Norren Remix = Danny Red Remix??? (15/02/2005)

Reviews reported here in previous news, talked about "Facts of life (Claus Norren Remix)" being very 80's flavoured, with a beginning reminiscent of New Order's "Blue monday", very danceable and with lots of electro sounds & synths. But it was only released on a scarce promo CD, so it was logically unavailable to the general public.

On the other hand, since last week, European iTunes.com legal downloads service is selling, among other Lazyboy's tracks, an exclusive remix of this song: "Facts of life (Danny Red Remix)" for just 0.99$. Remember that you do not need to have an iPod to buy & download legal tracks from iTunes.

Yesterday I bought this remix at iTunes store. And to my surprise, it sounded very 80's flavoured, with a beginning reminiscent of New Order's "Blue monday", very danceable and with lots of electro sounds & synths. Just like the reviews said Claus Norren Remix was.

So is it just a casuality that the two remixes sound so similar? Or actually are they the same remix, and "Danny Red" is just a nickname of Claus Norren? It would make sense because Claus Norren is red-head, and Danny Red has only made this remix.

As for now, there is no official confirmation yet. But I'm almost sure that they are the same remix indeed. I will keep you up to date with any news.
