Todd and Blair: the second time around.

Todd and Blair reconciled and, in a beautiful balloon filled ceremony at St. James Church, became man and wife for the second time in November. Following their nuptials, the two—more in love than ever—looked forward to their new life and the impending birth of their baby.

Marty traveled to the remote Irish isle of Inishcrag to successfully confront her Aunt Kiki, who had been squandering her inheritance in a wild spending spree throughout Europe. In a pub, a handsome stranger pulled her into a kiss. Marty played along, pretending to be his lover. By acting casually and posing as his "wife, she had helped him elude his hunters. She had saved his life, and so began the romance of Marty Saybrooke and Irish poet, Patrick Thornhart. Patrick was being followed by members of the "Men of Twenty-One," who suspected that he had the coded sheet music that could reveal their terrorist plans. Meanwhile, Marty and Patrick began to bond, and they soon made love.

As Todd and Blair prepared to go on their honeymoon, Todd received a frantic message from Marty in Ireland, begging for his help. Though Blair begged him not to go…Todd, feeling forever indebted to the woman he raped, assure his wife that he wouldn't be gone long. While in Ireland, Todd sent Marty back home to her dying friend Paloma, then remained on the isle of Inishcrag to help her new friend Patrick Thornhart out of a jam. However, Todd (wearing Patrick's coat) was mistaken for Patrick and was shot, thrown into the trunk of a car, and driven off a cliff. The last we saw of him, Todd was lying on an Irish beach—his eyes wide open.

When Patrick ventured to Llanview in search of Marty, he was amazed to find the woman he loved engaged to another man!
