Melinda was furious to learn that Dorian was carrying on with the man she wanted!

Despite ongoing therapy, Julie still had sexual problems. Still frustrated with Julie�s frigidity, Mark continued to find what he needed in Dorian�s bed. As Melinda sought counseling at Llanview Hospital, she laid eyes on Mark and immediately fell in love with him�not knowing that he was having an affair with her sister.

When Dorian realized that Mark was the handsome doctor that Melinda had been going on and on about, she pretended as though she didn�t know him. Melinda later came home to discover Dorian and Mark in bed together and became enraged. Grabbing a butchers knife from the kitchen, she charged at the two. Mark managed to subdue Melinda, but not before she sliced his hand.

The emotional trauma of the ordeal sent Melinda into a catatonic state. Soon after, Dorian had her institutionalized in a California clinic. With Melinda out of the picture, Dorian and Mark pressed forward with their torrid indiscretions.
