The Parents of the original gods crated the world and all of the races in it. These two beings fashoned the major gods for companionship. They called the gods their children and gave them some of their subsistence. Having created so many 'children' and giving so much of themselves away, these beings became gods as well, although no one is sure which god and goddess they are. It is supposed that the gods do know who they are, but that is a carefully, and well guarded secret.
